IMO, the lady would be the one who is being snapped hopefully, and that would give us some idea of what she looked like, which in turn may jogg the memories of other passengers aboard the ship..Do we know if all of her posessions have been returned to the family??..

There is absolutely no news on this case. I am waiting to hear some more evidence that she was on board besides the swiped cards, but nothing has been reported. No camera images, no last pictures taken, not a word from any witnesses, nothing about a last phone call or text messages from the ship. All we have is a 'convenient' story of the boyfriend that they attended a comedy show where I am sure they wouldn't be noticed in the public. Then IMO he tries to put some weight to his story and says he takes off to the casino. The place where there certainly would be cameras. So I am still wondering, was she really on board or did something happen in the Bahamas?

And it doesn't appear as though he's turning over those photos voluntarily to anyone, anytime soon? Why not? Doesn't he want them to find her?
At least three news sources (ABC, HLN, and WPTV 5 West Palm Beach) broadcast these photo collages or slideshows (or however you`d prefer to identify this way of promulgating the news) that suggested (to me at least - maybe I`m more gullible than others) they were taken from Fariba`s cruise vacation. It`s my understanding that Ramiz Golshani has some actual photos of he and Fariba during the week long vacation, but those are his own private property.

Yes we asked them to reprint the story as they had their facts wrong. Those photos are from Fariba in the past, not on this cruise. I am sure that they have confused a few people.

This person might also have some contacts for other people who were on the ship if they plan on their own private investigation.

Very interesting indeed. I would like to know more about this man on the platforms. I wonder what he was doing on the platforms. I know my sister would never just walk around on the platform. Wondering if this man is somehow linked to all of this

Try googling the name on the comment helenbee. I think she has a FB so maybe you can try to contact her that way. Still praying for justice for Fariba.

I'm not sure helenbee but I'd have to say it most likely is an area for crew members only? Here is a picture of the crew looking out before setting sail on the Bahama Celebration. They are in the lifeboat area. Not sure what the women meant by "platform" and whether she was just talking about this general area.

Families search for cruise ship passengers lost at sea
The lights of Freeport Harbour narrow into a single fading line as the dark sky and inky ocean come together over deck 6 of the cruise ship Bahamas Celebration.
[snip]
Over the past decade, nearly 200 people have disappeared from cruise ships, never to be found. Eight have already vanished this year, according to a cruise industry expert who tracks these incidents.
[snip]
In February, Vancouver businesswoman and mother of two Fariba Amani was on this very cruise ship, the Bahamas Celebration.
She boarded with her boyfriend, Ramiz Golshani, a man she had met at a salsa dancing class in 2011.
[snip]
Only Golshani returned to Vancouver. He has declined to talk to reporters.
Golshani told FBI investigators and cruise ship security that the two went separate ways after midnight on Feb. 29, the last night of the cruise, she to the gift shop and he to the casino.
At 4:30 a.m., a few hours before the ship was to arrive in Palm Beach, Golshani reported her missing, crew members say. Amani has not been seen since.

Thanks for article SheWhoMustNotBeNamed - besides bumping the thread, it shows Fariba is still somewhat in the news.
Guess this case just goes cold and she's gone and that's it as far as investigation appears going ... so sad!

Saw a show on an ID channel the other night that reminded me of Fariba's case in which Karen Waltz on her hooneymoon goes overboard...

One year after woman’s disappearance from cruise ship, family still has no answers

On the day Fariba Amani left for a Caribbean cruise, she told her sister Saloumeh she’d see her soon.
“I love you, sister joon,” she texted, calling Saloumeh an endearment in Farsi. “Take care. See you when I get back.”
