CAMP LEJEUNE, NC (AP) - Documents obtained by The Associated Press show that a former Marine charged with killing a pregnant colleague in North Carolina was not the father of the unborn child.
In a report completed by the Department of Defense Armed Forces Institute of Pathology on May 7, DNA analysts concluded that former Cpl. Cesar Laurean was not the father of Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach's unborn child.

Cesar Laurean Trial Won't Be In Onslow County
<snip>
A judge has ordered to move a high profile case out of Onslow County.
Former Marine Cesar Laurean is awaiting his murder trial for killing fellow Marine Maria Lauterbach.
In court Tuesday for a motions hearing, both the district attorney and Laurean's lawyer agreed a change of venue was necessary because of the amount of publicity in the case.
The judge set Laurean's trial date for June 28th.
Lawyers have until December 18th to tell the court their intentions of where they want to hold the trial.

Well, there had better not be a delay for the June, 2010 trial! I am anxiously awaiting this trial and hope it is televised.

Defense Asks For Murder Trial Delay Of Former NC Marine
Kelly Heffernan-Tabor
Created: 4/2/2010 12:02:07 PM Updated: 4/2/2010 12:05:02 PM
Onslow Co., NC -- A North Carolina judge is reviewing arguments to delay the murder trial of former Camp Lejeune Marine Cesar Laurean. This week Lauren's attorney asked an Onslow County judge to delay the start of the trial by three months, starting in September.
.................................
Dressed in an orange prison jumpsuit and accompanied by Defense Attorney Dick McNeill the argument for at least 90 days delay was based on Laurean's recent knee injury. Attorney McNeill says his client's medical condition slowed the defense's trail preparation.
Prosecutors are against a delay and say Laurean's team was provided adequate discovery evidence and sufficient time to be ready for a June 28th trial in Wayne County.
Next week results from Laurean's doctor appointment will be sent to Superior Court Judge Charles Henry.
Judge Henry is expected to make a ruling on the trial delay request on Monday April 12th.
