jmo. Not saying for sure, but it seems more than plausible that it's an open zippered pocket to me. So I'm gonna go with that for the time being. I have no explanation for an absence of blood. But since the undisputed forensics show a close range shot to the chest, my take is that there MUST be an explanation for the absence of blood spatter on George, if in fact there was none. I have no idea how or if wounds like that would bleed, so I'll wait for the experts on it. Just last night I was saying how such matters elude me

My son-in-law has a similar Northface jacket. It does have a zipper pocket, alot of them do. Here is a link, you can see various styles. I think it is the shadow of the pocket unzipped.

From what I watched and have heard I don't think any witness saw the shooting. John who saw them on the ground left and when he looked out the window after the shot he saw Trayvon on the ground and Zimmerman walking around. That means he even missed George sitting on Trayvon after the shooting.

The detective said there was stippling on Martin so that would mean he was shot from 6 inches away up to 30 inches away or about an arms length. Test on the powder burns on the hoodie compared to the loads Zimmerman was using should tell the distance.

In addition to his physical injuries, Zimmerman complained of stress and "occasional nausea when thinking about the violence." But he was not diagnosed with a concussion. The doctor noted that it was "imperative" that Zimmerman "be seen with [sic] his psychologist for evaluation."

According to the report, prior to the shooting Zimmerman had been prescribed Adderall and Temazepam, medications that can cause side effects such as agitation and mood swings, but in fewer than 10 percent of patients.

The autopsy results come as Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O’Mara continues to go over other evidence in the case.

O’Mara wouldn't comment on the autopsy evidence, but WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said it's better for the defense than it is for the prosecution.

WFTV has learned that the medical examiner found two injuries on Martin’s body: The fatal gunshot wound and broken skin on his knuckles.

When you compare Trayvon’s non-fatal injury with Zimmerman's bloody head wounds, the autopsy evidence is better for the defense, Sheaffer said.
