I looked up Melody on Facebook and, surprisingly, found she lists John Ludwick as a friend. But neither Melody or John list Joran as a friend...but I imagine Joran's Facebook page has been removed by now. When you look up Joran Van Der Sloot on FB, there are 15 listed, I imagine they are all bogus.

to see the entire interview.

What changed this guy......to become what he is now? Somehow I feel
he's always had an EVILNESS lurking in him and just waiting to come out and
do harm to someone. He IS A CHARMER as all sociopaths are....they will tell you what he thinks you want to hear.....then reel you in......then you are hooked.
Poor Natalee was the chosen one....or have there been others while he was
in Aruba? Other girls (tourists) that somehow escaped his grip....who just
got away from him in record time.

If so.......they are the VERY LUCKY ones.....
 
There is a very fine line between enabling and what you do because you think that's what family does. I know my mom has enabled my brother at times not because she was trying to enable him but because she thought that's what she should do as a Mother. I can't figure out the Anthony's. I say I would do what was needed to be done to get justice for Caylee. I really don't know because I haven't been in their shoes and I hope and pray I never am. I would imagine it would be hard to admit you raised a killer.

I guess I'm just a very straight up person. I can't imagine behaving the way the Anthony's and Van der Sloot's have behaved. They cannot be so dumb as to have no idea that their children are killers. I would be there to support my daughter, no matter what she did, but I will be damned if I would stand around in public proclaiming her innocence when I knew she wasn't. To me these parents are part and parcel of what is wrong with their children. There is a vast difference between supporting your children and enabling them to continue on a path that is destructive to other people. IMHO.

Although no details have come out with how the Judge will meet with Joran on Monday, however it could be something like by video, or behind a enclosed glass. This is something worth checking out.

Especially when he has seen Natalee Holloways Mom and Dad and how desperate they have searched for their daughter and all the pain it has caused them if not for flat out nearly ruining their lives. If that doesnt get it through to him then what would, he likely laughed while watching those parents suffer.
 
re: The GHB wrappers found in the van.
Joran could very well have used GHB for a sleep aid for himself.
Most likely, offered this pill as a "sleep aid" to Stephany.

GHB takes effect in 15 minutes & lasts 4 hours.

Joran had said years ago, it took 20 beers to feel drunk.
At the casino with Stephany, he had 10 whiskey & cokes with little effects in his demeanor.

You are correct. My Mom has never said my brother was innocent but she has paid off things for him to help him. Which enabled him to continue on his destructive path. I don't understand the Van Der Sloot's or the Anthony's either but I would imagine it would be hard to admit publicly that you raised a killer. I am in no way taking up for either set of parents.

Heres one texas death row inmate, if you scroll down a bit to read his pen-pal request from May 2009, complaining about having to buy hygiene products and wondering if he will have soap or toothpaste from day to day.

For those who may not have know there are extensive case files on the NH case now available there are at the below link....They show the early police interrogations of JVS as well as the Kalpoe brothers and also Palus Vandersloot although I do find it odd that of all of the interrogations the only person that has pages missing is JVS Father which again I think points to a cover-up by the Aruban LE....This site is a wealth of information from early on in the investigation.

Therein lies the difference. Your mom was doing her best to turn him around and help him succeed and change his life. That is what, I think, any parent would do with a troubled child. It is a fine line to walk. My daughter is severely bi-polar and while we have never had serious trouble with the law, we have been through plenty of trouble. I also do what I can to help her succeed in her life, but I don't cover for her and never have. I know the pain of having a troubled child. I just find their wishy-washy 'not my child' attitude despicable and unhelpful to their children. My kudos to your mom for doing her best. That is all any of us can do for our children.
 
Getting back on topic. Yesterday Jean C mentioned that the Judge was going to issue a "Press Release"; has anyone seen the Press Release?
 
I'd love to see the press release that JeanC spoke about yesterday - the one that contains a diagram and "possibly" a timeline. Perhaps, today.

The warden that was killed was an outside hit. He was killed leaving his home, not actually at Castro Castro:

But in watching the videos of Joran being put into Castro Castro, it seems the other inmates were watching him from behind bars but also far enough away not to be able to accost anyone.

I would think the judge would be accorded much more security measures than a prisoner would be also.

Not sure about the crowds though....however, imo, the crowds were angry at Joran and his actions and would probably not have the same feelings towards the judge who is going to the prison to start the judicial process.

Question: What was the name of Joran's first real girlfriend? Her parents did not want them dating as she was 12 or 13 and Joran was 16 or 17. They had a huge birthday party for her and all the p.i.m.p.s were there. She was a petite, blonde.....

It makes you wonder if she wasn't sold into slavery. When you read the students say they never saw Natalee and Van Der Sloot togther at the bar. One student talks about two men watching Natalee and the last time they saw Natalee, Van der sloot was watching her dance on stage.

Great 1st post! In one article I read, a lawyer said that a man was stabbed about 10 feet away while he was visiting a client.

But I think that the courtroom is within the prison walls and that Joran will be taken there with lots of guards, rather than the judge entering the cell areas.
 
It looks like from the stills that radaroline has you can see JVS coming thru the hotel lobby in his stipped shirt carry cofee...I wonder if this is when they say he left and went and got the 2 cups.
