A LITTLE girl named Angel miraculously survived as ruthless hitmen executed three men and wounded two women around her.

The terror-stricken three-year-old was shielded by the women as the slaughter went on.
And she was seen crying as she was led away by police after the massacre in Bishop’s Stortford, Herts.
It began when a distraught caller screamed for help after dialling 999 from the £250,000 semi at Bishop’s Stortford, Herts.

:( Gosh, how do you ever get over something like this?

Looks like theres alot of background on this one.

Keith Cowell, 52, and his son Matthew, 17, were shot dead at their home in Bishop's Stortford, Herts, on Tuesday.
A 23-year-old woman and a 54-year-old woman were seriously injured in the bloodbath, but a three-year-old girl named Angel miraculously escaped unhurt.
Meanwhile, the third victim was named as Essex villain Tony Dulieu from Billericay.
The Sun can reveal the 33- year-old was freed early from jail on licence two years ago.
He was caged for 12 years in May 1999 for a cowardly nightclub hammer attack. Criminal intelligence sources say he was involved in drug dealing and had links to Asian gangsters.

Matthew’s girlfriend Claire and a visiting aunt were serious but stable in hospital yesterday after being shot and stabbed.
The Cowells’ Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Gorgeous, died after he was shot in the head, said friends.
Relatives of Keith and wife Nicole, known as Nicqui, were still reeling with shock yesterday.
Nicqui’s sister-in-law Sheila Spellane said: “We don’t know the other man killed. We can’t take it in really. They are just a normal family.”
Nicqui, who missed Tuesday’s massacre by ten minutes after leaving for work, identified the bodies of her husband and son — removed yesterday from the family’s £250,000 red-brick semi.
She was being comforted by daughter Charlotte last night.
One man who knew Keith said he was involved in drugs. Asked what type of drugs, he said: “You don’t get your head blown off for a bit of puff.”
The man continued: “Believe me, the world is a better place now he’s gone. He upset a lot of families over the years.”
Senior officers have already said they believe the victims were deliberately targeted. .

One said: “It was definitely a grudge over drugs and money owed. The figure mentioned was £10,000.
“Matty and his dad knew the risks. They often moved house to evade other dealers.
“They were both well-known drug dealers who had a reputation for violence, dealing in cocaine and able to look after themselves.”
Another former friend backed up claims of Keith’s drug dealing. He said: “He was a sleazy, slimy guy. Why was Tony Dulieu there? Because of drugs.”

I think her being named "Angel" is no coincidence.

How awful that a 52 yr old man got his 17 yr old son involved in this!!

A pic of this little survivor at the link;

THIS is the first picture of the little girl dubbed “Angel” who survived the Slaughter in Suburbia gun massacre.

Bubbly Courteney-Louise, three, shows off her toothy grin in a snap taken at a party — a world away from the horror that unfolded this week.
A guardian angel was looking down on the tot when gunmen ruthlessly burst into a house and executed three men and left two women, including her mum Clare, 23, seriously injured.

A PRIME suspect in the Slaughter in Suburbia gun massacre was arrested last night in a dramatic swoop at Heathrow.

The man, believed to be Asian and in his 20s, was trying to board a plane when police moved in.
He was picked up at an airline check-in desk after staff became suspicious.
The suspect is the third person to be held in connection with last week’s horrific triple murder in Bishop’s Stortford, Herts.
A police source said: “This is a highly significant arrest.”
The man was driven to Hertfordshire where detectives planned to quiz him over the shooting, which also left two women seriously injured.
Three-year-old Courteney-Louise, nicknamed Angel, also miraculously survived the bloodbath, thought to be over a drugs debt.
Last night’s arrest came as cops were granted a further 24 hours to quiz two suspects picked up on Thursday.
A Hertfordshire Police spokeswoman confirmed: “A man in his 20s has been arrested at Heathrow airport on suspicion of murder.”
Courteney-Louise’s mum Clare, 23, was stabbed in the back and hand in the brutal attack, trying to protect her daughter.
Clare’s boyfriend Mathew Cowell, 17, his dad Keith, 52, and Essex villain Tony Dulieu, 33, were killed in a hail of 25 bullets by two Asians, who fled towards the nearby M11 in a red car.

Keith’s sister was also shot in the foot but survived. Courteney-Louise may be able to help cops identify suspects but will not give evidence.
According to friends, police have discussed putting the family in a witness protection programme and issuing new identities.
But it is more likely they will have armed protection at a safe house.
Villain Dulieu was jailed for 12 years in London in 1999 for a vicious hammer attack.

From October 2008:

Kevan Thakrar, 21, and his brother Miran, 24, forced Keith Cowell, 52, his son Matthew, 17, and a friend Tony Dulieu, 33, to kneel before them to be shot.

They were both convicted of three murders last month, when Miran Thakrar was given three life terms with a minimum recommendation of 42 years.

At Southwark Crown Court today Mr Justice Cooke sentenced Kevan Thakrar to three life terms and ordered he serve at least 35 years.
