Varvara has a small birthmark on her lower leg. She may go by the nickname Barbara or Veda.
Varvara was abducted by her non-custodial father, Emmanuel Lazaridis. A Kidnapping warrant was issued for the abductor on October 7, 2004. Varvara's mother normally had custody, but temporary custody was given to her father when her mother was hospitalized. He then used an illegal passport to take her out of the country. They may be traveling throughout Europe.
