Highland Park TX - Three Seniors arrested in connection with 15 yo in ICU

Dallas police said a 15-year-old girl is in intensive care after nearly drinking herself to death at a nightclub.

Officers arrested three teenagers who were with her, all seniors at Highland Park High School.

Paramedics rushed to the Palladium Ballroom, a live music venue just south of downtown Dallas, at about 9 p.m. Thursday, according to police.

The 15-year-old girl had a blood-alcohol level of 0.40, five times the legal limit, according to a police report. She is in the ICU at Children's Medical Center.

Joshua Francis, 19; Jacob Meredith, 17; and Kevin O'Boyle, 18, are charged with public intoxication and possession of fake identifications.

Their fake IDs were so good the FBI was called in to investigate.

The guys were released on $1000 bail bonds.

This is being hushed up in Dallas news.

Five times the legal limit?

As an aside I just responded to a thread about a girl supposedly drunk at her prom. She however was 18. I know the drinking age is diferent in each State, but no matter serving enough alcohol that you're five times over the limit?

No doubt it's something we have all done perhaps in our youth. I know we used to sneak to Jersey but at fifteen it just sounds so young.

The legal age to consume alcohol in Texas is 21. She couldn't even have had a driver's license to drive to this nightclub at 15 years old.

It may have to do with the area these kids are from. Highland Park is an area of Dallas where the very affluent live. I wonder if the parents are high profile and have connections to keep this quiet.

i imagine it's also hush-hush cause underage drinking at a concert venue is a huge, huge liability for the club.
