PA Remains Of Fetus And Infant Found In Cooler In Home 07 Jul 2010
A Reading PA woman is being held on 5 mill bail. A fetus and an infant remains were found in a cooler in the closet of Michelle Kalina.
Just saw this on the news and caught the tail end of it. I'm not real sure how they got to go look in this lady's apartment. Also she is some kind of civil servant. I think. Have to read more of it.

OMG, thank God the roommate called! How disturbing. The other link stated that the babies were estimated to be a 5 month old FETUS and 1 month old BABY.
If you miscarried at 20 weeks gestation, why would you keep it????

New here, so I'm not sure if this is exactly what you guys are looking for, but I saw this story on the news and I was sickened. The Lisbeth Salander in me came out and I just had to know more.
She has a Facebook profile. Seems to have mostly online friends and plays a lot of time wasting games. Mentions God a lot, is strongly against animal cruelty (ironically). She tries to present herself as a rather nice person who doesn't have dead human babies in a cooler in her closet. I can't imagine playing FarmVille and all that, knowing you have BABIES in your CLOSET! What the hell?

Ya know I can't find a maiden name for this person. However, it shows up they have lived in Philly.
On the news I saw them knocking on that apaprtment door and thought "Well how many people do they have staying in there?"
Hey, quite a huge change between her mugshot and FB photo, right? If we had a maiden name maybe we could find out more.

Indeed there is a large change between the mugshot and profile picture. But the face is turned kind of down on FB so I can't discern if that chillingly hollow look has formed behind the eyes yet (obviously a very old pic.)

yikes this was only about 3 blocks from where i use to live in Reading. i use to walk by the place on the way to the store.

Good lookout on the maiden name. It just may be that. I'm checking archives.
A friend of Kalina's is defending her. Michelle took care of her mother who had Alzheimer's and she was wonderful.
Kalina has not always had it easy. She had a disabled son who died several years ago and it was very tough on her.
This may be totally out there, but there are people with this name who have a child with a very rare disease. They are in that immediate area. It is not this woman, but it made me wonder. Again they may have no relation. Possibly her disabled son had something genetic? Maybe those babies did?
No way am I defending this woman. Just sharing what I found sleuthing.

Another dead baby has been found in Kalina's closet. The investigator said that it would be foolish "to narrow it down to just Mrs. Kalina," a choice of words I take to mean that they are also investigating her husband. Good call, he has to know something. Any theories on this yet, guys? Were they hers or did she kill other people's children?

What is it with the women stashing dead babies around their houses? This is becoming far too common. Makes you wonder just how many people have babies stashed in their houses that haven't been discovered. Pretty darn creepy.

Yeah, I've read them. Poor guy. I'd like to think he didn't have anything to do with it, but how could he not? He lived there too. But it was him and the daughter that called police. Have to wonder what brought that on.

Was looking at her court history, it seems Michele has had a few bad check charges, 1995, 2002, and 2003 theft by deception, receiving stolen property. Lots of traffic/parking violations. ( I do NOT want to park in Berks Co., they seem to love expired meters) No drug charges. Wondering out loud if finances were a factor, like can't afford another mouth to feed. One of the links alludes they're not done looking, makes me think they should be looking at other places they've lived. Filly, did you see where in Philly she lived?
