New search...Police search Knox County
http://www.suntimes.com/news/peterso...081110.article
Police search Knox County for Stacy Peterson
State Police investigating the 2007 disappearance of Stacy Peterson searched an area near downstate Galesburg last week, but didn’t find anything linked to the missing Bolingbrook woman.
Investigators searched a rural section of Knox County on Aug. 3 as part of their ongoing probe into the disappearance of the 23-year-old Peterson, Sgt. Thomas Burek said Wednesday.

State Police Sergeant Tom Burek tells WGIL the search was close to Galesburg.
"For now, I just allude to the fact that it was close to -- very close -- to Galesburg," Burek said.
Burek says police were acting on a tip generated following the June search of an area outside of Peoria that didn't produce results. Burek tells WGIL this search went much the same way.

Burek says he can't say what investigators were looking for, but it wasn't necessarily a body.
He says the search was related to a tip that led investigators to a remote area near Peoria in June. That search also didn't turn up anything.

He said the search was prompted by leads generated from a source tapped earlier this year. That source had investigators digging in an area in rural Peoria in early June. It was reported at the time that police were looking for Peterson's body and the Peoria County coroner was at the site during the dig. No body was found.

Sorry, looks as if this search was a dud too. Wonder where these search prompting tips are coming from? or should I say who?

The search for the missing wife of alleged murderer Drew Peterson has moved to an adjacent county, but has still turned up no results.
Authorities searched last week near Galesburg, Illinois, in Knox County, for any trace of the missing Stacy Peterson, but found nothing, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I'd like to believe that it's coming from someone credible, but am beginning to have my doubts, especially considering how LE has bungled this entire saga from Kathleen's death onward. Sorry Will County, seems as if you have a bunch of clowns running the show there. What a shame it's such a sham.
