West Palm Beach man, 79, missing after leaving home to buy lottery tickets

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in locating a man who went missing on Thursday.

According to officials, Jimmie D. McCrae, 79, was last seen about 5 p.m., when he left his residence in the 4900 block of Haverhill Commons Circle to purchase lottery tickets.

McCrae was driving a 2006 black Toyota Corolla with Florida tag M049WF and a PBCC sticker on the back, according to officials. McCrae was wearing a black-and-red striped shirt, tan pants and brown dress shoes.

According to PBSO, McCrae suffers from dementia.

Anyone who sees McCrae is urged to contact PBSO at 561-688-3400 or call the nearest law enforcement agency.
