HILLSIDE -- Henry Savio dropped a red rose on his daughter's white casket during an emotional funeral service this week as Kathleen Savio was returned to her grave.

Other family members and friends somberly followed suit, adding roses wreathed with baby's breath to the new casket that was reburied Monday at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

According to published reports, a Bolingbrook woman who has been missing for a month told a clergyman that her husband had killed his former wife and made it look like an accident. Stacy Peterson has been missing for a month, and is married to former Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson.

A source revealed the information to Chicago Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed, NBC5 reported Wednesday night. The source said Stacy Peterson told the clergyman last August that her husband had killed Kathleen Savio, who was his third wife.

The Sun-Times also reported that on Oct. 28, the day she disappeared, Peterson told her husband she was leaving him, and issued an ultimatum. Peterson told her husband that she was planning a divorce and wanted him out of the house by the following Wednesday.

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (AP) — The wife of a former police officer told a clergy member months before she disappeared that she feared her husband, a church official said Thursday, echoing comments the woman's sister made soon after she vanished.

Stacy Peterson requested a meeting in late August with a member of the Westbrook Christian Church pastoral staff when the church made a routine call to see why she and Drew Peterson had not attended recent services, Rob Daniels, the church's pastor of spiritual formation, told The Associated Press.

At the meeting, Peterson said "she feared for herself because of her husband," Daniels said.

He would not say whether Peterson was afraid her husband would kill her, only that she feared "bodily harm."

December 11, 2007 (BOLINGBROOK, Ill.) -- A former police officer's missing wife once confided in a pastor that her husband admitted killing his third wife, according to a published report.

Former Westbrook Christian Church pastor Neil Schori told Fox News Channel's Greta Van Susteren that he was "reeling inside" after his conversation with Stacy Peterson.

Schori said he asked Peterson when they met in August at a coffee shop to clarify what she had said about her husband, Drew Peterson, and she responded, "'He killed Kathleen (Savio)."'

BOLINGBROOK -- Stacy Peterson allegedly had a thing for the preacher saying she told him her husband killed his ex-wife.

"All I know for sure is, Stacy had a big crush on him," Drew Peterson said of the minister his wife supposedly confided in before disappearing nearly seven weeks ago.

"Every time she went to see him, she was all dolled up, all sexied up," Peterson said.

The preacher, Neil Schori, has said Stacy revealed to him Drew Peterson confessed to killing his ex-wife, Kathleen Savio, the day after she mysteriously died in March 2004. She reportedly dropped the bombshell on Schori during an August get-together in a coffee shop.

One of Drew Peterson's adult sons appeared Thursday before a Will County special grand jury investigating the disappearance of Peterson's fourth wife and the mysterious drowning of his third wife, but declined afterward to discuss the case.

Stephen Peterson, 28, an Oak Brook police officer, arrived in uniform Thursday morning at the Will County Court Building Annex, where the grand jury meets. About three hours later, he left the building and drove off in his marked squad car.

Craig Wall reporting for Fox News: "Sources have confirmed that prosecutors have subpoenaed bank records that show Drew Peterson, in the weeks after his wife’s disappearance funneled nearly a quarter of a million dollars to his son Steve, an Oak Brook police officer. Steve Peterson has now testified twice before the Grand Jury investigating Stacy Peterson’s disappearance and although he declined to comment, a law enforcement source said prosecutors most assuredly would want answers about the money trail.

According to sources, Drew Peterson has transferred more than $250,000 to his son from several bank accounts including joint accounts he held with Stacy. Investigators found that Drew wrote as many as six checks to Steve all within a few days in mid November including one check for more than $150,000.

Tonight Drew Peterson declined to comment and so did his attorney.

Joel Brodsky: "I'm not going to comment on my clients personal financial affairs. I'm sure, and if that’s true, I'm not even sure on whether or not it is, I'm sure there's legitimate reasons for it."

One legal expert says Peterson’s motive could be to protect his assets in case he gets sued. Tonight Kathleen Savio’s sister said the family has indeed contacted lawyers about filing a wrongful death lawsuit against Drew. He was in the mist of divorcing Kathleen when she mysteriously died in her bathtub in 2004.

As CBS 2 West Suburban Bureau Chief Mike Puccinelli reports, sources say Stacy Peterson was looking for her husband, Drew Peterson, the day before his Savio was found dead in her home. Sources say investigators also know Stacy Peterson repeatedly called her husband's cell phone that day to try and find him.
