South Glens Falls teenager reported missing

ALBANY — For the past 10 days, Alanna Sears-Mount, of South Glens Falls, has been searching for her 16-year-old daughter, Ashlee Sears.

Ashlee went missing Sept. 2 from the St. Anne Institute in Albany, where she had been living for six months.

Sears-Mount said her daughter had been at their South Glens Falls home that day and told her she was stressed about her living conditions at the Albany home for troubled children.

At around 1 a.m., after returning to the St. Anne Institute, she disappeared with two other residents. They returned, but Ashlee didn’t.

Sears-Mount said her daughter has mental health issues, but it is not like her to run away and be out of contact with her family. She hasn’t called home since she disappeared.

She was last seen on Holland Street in Albany. Sears-Mount, along with family and friends, has spent the past 10 days searching Albany neighborhoods and posting fliers with her daughter’s picture and description.

Ashlee Sears grew up in Corinth and South Glens Falls.

“Ashlee comes from a good home and the reason that she was placed is that she has mental health issues and substance abuse issues,” Sears-Mount said.

Sept. 12--A family is seeking help in locating a missing teenage girl who was last seen in Albany more than a week ago.

Ashlee Rose Sears, 16, of South Glens Falls, was last seen Sept. 2'on Holland Avenue. She was living at St. Anne Institute, a group home in Albany, said Connie Tubbs, a family friend.

ALBANY -- A teenager who disappeared from Saint Anne's Institute was found Sunday night in Saratoga County.

Albany Detective James Miller said she would soon be returned to the group home.

Ashlee Rose Sears, 16, of South Glens Falls, had last been seen Sept. 2 on Holland Avenue Albany.
