Human remains found near Golden Gate Bridge.
SAUSALITO, Calif.—Authorities are using dental records to try to identify human remains that were found in a remote cove near the Golden Gate Bridge.
National Park Service spokesman George Durgerian says the remains were spotted by a kayaker Monday night, then recovered by park service crews Tuesday.
Durgerian says crews had to rappel 600 feet down a cliff along the rugged shore of the Marin Headlands to get to the remains.
A skull, bones, clothing and jewelry were recovered from the scene.
The gender of the victim, as well as cause of death, are unknown
