Police look for woman missing for nearly a month

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a mentally impaired woman who went missing from the Southwest Side after being last seen Sept. 3.

Ella Rhymes, 55, was last seen Sept. 3 and she frequents the area of the 6300 block of South Western Avenue, according to an alert from Wentworth Area detectives.

Rhymes suffers from a diminished mental capacity and suffers from occasional seizures, according to the alert. She was last seen wearing black pants and she carries a black backpack, according to the alert.

She is described as being black, 5-foot-6, weighing 125 pounds. She has brown eyes, brown hair and a medium complexion. She does not have any visible tattoos or scars, the alert said.

I have ran each of the below-listed in the Illinois Law Enforcement Agencies Database System (LEADS) and did not find any of them listed as an active missing person on today's date. My database does not provide me with case information of why they were cancelled from the database. You'll have to follow-up with the originating agency for those details.
