Although charged with 86 counts, Williams warped fetish burglaries were on only 48 different residences -- 23 in Tweed and 25 in Ottawa.
Only 17 were reported to police, meaning that most of his home invasions likely went unnoticed.
Most were at night, after midnight.

Greg McArthur - The family of his second victims in Tweed, Ont., nearly caught Col. Williams in the act. They saw a "tall man" running away from the house one day when they came home in October 2007, but didn't notice anything missing. During his confession in February, Col. Williams referred to the incident as a "close call."

In these photos, lawyer notes, RW is "modelling" the lingerie, striking different poses, angles, expressions.

Lawyers say they need to go through agreed facts, demonstrate his obsessions. It matters for possible future parole hearings.
Another common theme (besides the self-made pornography) is that the victims had no idea anyone had even broken in to their homes.

On and on...
Court is shown photos that at a glance might be comical in different circumstances, a respected and robust colonel squeezed into a child's bright orange bra and panties.
In the context of these crimes, no one even thinks of a snicker -- the modeling inside a bedroom of an 11 year girl, decorated in a Little Mermaid theme -- suggests his escalating dangerousness. His penis protrudes from the garments and is one of many explicit photos of himself, some in a mirror.

All of the photos follow the same sequence: first a photo of underwear in the drawer, then a shot of the entire booty, carefully laid out, and then a photo of himself wearing the lingerie.

For most of the photos, Williams raises his head slightly to look, gazes at it for a few seconds before returning to his head-down stance.
Even veteran reporters, some who covered Bernardo and Homolka cases say they have not seen anything like this.
Even the author of a forthcoming book on Williams says he is shocked by what we are seeing.

RW told police that on a few occasions, home occupants spotted him as they came home, but Williams was unsure if they called police. [via Twitter]
stole 87 pieces of lingerie, skirts, etc. from one home, which he broke into thru an open window. Stayed 1hr41 minutes. [via Twitter]
