Ganter did NOT learn. How in heckola did this monster access these boys? Was his PO not keeping a close enough eye on him. Did parents just think he was a great and engaging guy? Maybe great character voices?

Sex offender arrested for sharing child porn


"COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Police arrested 41-year-old Anthony Thomas Ganter Wednesday after learning that Ganter had distributed more than 1,000 pictures and videos of child pornography...."

and

"...Police learned that someone in Colorado Springs had used an e-mail address to upload thousands of images and videos of child pornography to an Internet website. Investigators obtained search warrants and identified Ganter as the suspect. In the search, police also said they found more than 1,000 pictures and videos of child pornography on Ganter's computer.

Police also found Ganter had sexually assaulted as many as 14 juvenile boys while babysitting them.

Police are charging Ganter with sexual assault on a child, sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, sexual exploitation of children and failing to properly register as a sex offender.

Ganter is a registered sex offender in Colorado Springs...."

I live in the springs, and this was NOT on my local news. Found it online, but why wouldn't they air this in a news segment? How horrible for his victims

mommy23--That's a good question. If I were you, I'd send off an email to the stations in the area and pose the question. The email addys are right on their home page. It would be very interesting to see what the station managers have to say. This is news that parents (umm, everybody, actually) needs to hear.

You mean we can't trust them to report every single email address? I'm shocked. Really? And there's the ingratiated word again. He groomed the families before he went in for the kill. Being that Florida is mentioned, my guess is that there was an arrest in Florida and someone flipped on Ganter.

Ya, especially lately, the news is focused on marijauna and the election! I sent off an email to the 2 major stations, we will see what they say. There really needs to be some better way to monitor these RSO!!!! Oh wait, not letting them out would be a great start!

Can anyone look watch the video and explain what's going on with Ganter's facial expression. Is it just nerves? It's an odd movement or tic.

So, he's already served eight years and was free for two. Sure didn't do much to change his ways. I'm assuming that the multiple little boys were all abused within the past 2 years?

It looks like a nervous tic of some sort, or he has something stuck in his teeth lol. I've never been good at reading any sort of body language, but it doesn't appear to be a medical condition... IMO

And I am so glad this is getting more attention, I hope there are no more victims, but if there are, the media coverage can help them to come foward, and help him get locked up for good!!!!

I'm sitting here shaking my head. POs didn't find Jaycee, even though they visited at Garrido's house and she was camped out mere yards away. How are we to expect that swamped or slap-dash POs are going to take the time to chase down every single email address of a RSO? Let's get real. It's not going to happen. My blood just boils when I learn of a person who's been arrested for child porn and has been released on bail to family--presumably for supervision. They are often told to stay off the computer and away from children. What? Mom and Dad are going to lock a computer in their room so their 35 year old professional son can't access it? They are never going to take a shower or run to the store? While Dad's at work, the guy's going to "ingratiate" himself to the new neighbors who know NOTHING of his pending trial status and proclivities. And those cute little kids are literally flirting with death and abuse by merely saying hi over the fence.

I've stopped believing in fairy tales.

This just makes my blood boil. I'm not blaming the parents, but one look at that mug shot and there's no way he'd be watching my teen. Are the victims relatives? So many things went wrong here - the first being him let out of jail. When he didn't check in with his PO, he should have been picked up immediately. What took them so long!

For the children - let's never give up the fight.
