Quote:
A Salem woman is asking the public to help find her husband who has been missing nearly one week.
Todd Miklia, 41, left on a camping trip Oct. 30 and hasn’t checked in as planned, said his wife of 16 years, Florinda.
Florinda Miklia said she didn’t know where her husband was going camping but said he likely had camping gear.
The Miklias have four children together.
“We’ve told them that dad’s missing and we’re trying to bring him home as soon as possible,” Florinda Miklia said.
Todd Miklia is about 5 foot 11 inches tall, 210 pounds with dark brown hair, brown eyes and a clean-shaven face.
He was wearing Levis jeans, a plaid button-down shirt and tan baseball hat. He was driving a white 1997 Ford F150 pickup with license plate 695 DKD. The truck has a Stephens Middle School award student bumper sticker.
Salem police Detective Cpl. Garon Boyce said he received the missing person report and at this time the case is not a criminal investigation.
Anyone who sees or has information about Miklia’s truck or Todd Miklia should call Boyce at (503) 588-6050.

In the comments section someone has corrected the licence plate number..

todd miklia, missing, or - Google Search
On a google search for Todd Miklia, it shows that he may have been the one commenting on the missing Savoie children's pages.
Also, if this is him, he posts as is a senior member on a children's diabetes page.
If so, that post also says he has a FB page.
I cannot find a fb page for him.
Google search also shows that he comments on FB page of missing Erika Toland page.
Maybe someone else could check, they may have better luck than me.
His name is unusual, so I think it must be him.

Looks like his FB page has been deleted, I just don't know "when"..
If you look at the google cache page it will say "as of" so as of that date his FB must have been current..

He has a website (based in US but mostly in Japanese) set up for his son who is still in Japan that he has not seen..
I don't know if I can put that in here or not?
It has family photos (he included)
I'm very curious about this one, FB closed, he knows computers....

Doesn't this need to be moved to the other area/ "missing/located" instead of the "support" forum?

How in the world did his wife not know where he was going camping ? I am not trying to be mean that is just odd.....
They have been married 16 years, she has to have some clue as to where he likes to go! Any of his friends I would think would know as well.
I would be out there calling all of his buddies so I could get search and rescue out looking for him.
Prayers he comes home safely....

Did he go camping alone? That would seem odd to me. And, if he did go camping alone, I can't imagine that he wouldn't take his cell phone with him.

I too was surprised the wife wouldn't go on camera.... Does it seem odd to anyone else that he would go camping alone, without any buddies? My ex loved camping but would never have gone camping alone - he always had his friends along. I would also think that he would be inclined to go camping with the kids and family. This just makes me wonder a bit.
I just don't see a responsible father leaving his family overnight without the benefit of a cell phone....what if one of the kids were badly injured at home while he was gone? How would the wife locate him to inform him?

Todd Miklia has been found, he was stranded with car trouble and had left his phone at home. I am an old classmate of his.. It is a bit puzzling why his wife didn't know where he went from the start, why someone would go camping by themselves this time of year, and why they would leave their phone at home, there might be more to the story then we know, and I am sure there is. Alot of classmates on facebook where making efforts to track him down.. The search was at the coast, and then silver creek falls..

Welcome wilson.joe:
I am guessing you are a friend of Todd and the family.
I am so very glad that he has been found!
Did police find him or did friends find him
or did he walk out of his campsite?
Again, relieved to know he is okay.

Missing Salem Man Returns Home Safe
The family of a missing Salem man says he returned home safe today.
[snip]
Miklia told his family he had car trouble and hit a tree, they say.
