SC - Ashley Grace Ward - 13 years old - Columbia area - 11-Nov-2010

Ward is a 13-year-old white female, 5' 07", and 160 lbs. Canty is an 18-year-old Black male, 6'02" and 160 lbs. Investigators say Canty has ties to South Florida.
Sumter County has issued a warrant for Canty's arrest for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Hope Ashley is found safe and sound soon.
If the above pic is her...there is no way she looks 13 to me...more like 23. Her face has maturity that's not seen in most 13 yr olds. And no way that she appears to be weighing 160.

I searched for any additional info on this young lady and found none... Any idea what has happened? I hope she made it home, I don't want her to be another statistic...

I answered my own question - I called Sumter county LE and spoke with the investigator, and as far as she knows, Ashley Ward is still missing.

I am going to contact this young lady's parents this week and offer to assist with a poster-distribution event...
