MI - Michigan doctor charged with sex assault on 13mo-old baby girl

Montaldi was supposed to have a pretrial hearing yesterday for his retrial. It has been rescheduled for next Monday.

I hate to think about things like that. But unfortunately, some people refuse to believe that a woman would sexually assault a child, even though it has happened to many times to count.
Poor Lily, such a little sweet pea. I pray the jury in her case does the right thing.

Trial rescheduled for June 5. Would have liked it to be sooner, but that's ok. Hope this jury sees this case differently then the last one.

Aww, thanks believe, but it is not much. Just checking the internet since my lazy butt sits here for many hours after work. Too exhausted to do anything else. LOL

For some reason I feel like I HAVE to check on this case, and see it through. There are SO many out there (too d@#$ many), but this one just grabbed me. That poor baby. Now that the trial is rescheduled, I am thinking about making the trip there for the last couple days of the trial. The kids will be out of school so it would be a lot easier then. Now to just convince my hubby that I am not crazy by wanting to drive across the state for a trial that involves people I have never met. When I get an idea in my head, it is hard to let it go.

Just find another excuse... museum, landmark, relative, restaurant, theme park... something worth traveling that far to go see...
Then... "hey, and WHILE we are there anyway, I think I will stop by this trial as well..."

Okay... now I know I am a complete idiot and I totally should have realized this before... but I just had an epiphany!

This case is in Macomb County, Michigan!

I was kind of wrapped up in Lily's case... you know, the one in Macomb County, Michigan...

So I didn't notice that the articles from this case were by the same paper... I am blonde... in my defense...

So... hey, what I came to say is even more relevant now!
We got a conviction in Lily's case!
On ALL counts, including the sexual assault count... and the defendant was a woman...

I haven't checked lately, but as far as I know it is still on for 6/5. System is down right now, but I will double check tomorrow.

Sorry I am so late on updates. I got a new job with atrocious hours. I really wanted to go to see this trial personally, but it is just not going to happen.

The re-trial HAS started though, as scheduled. A jury has been selected. Here is an article from the Macomb Daily. Thankfully at least SOMEONE is covering this trial.

I was so glad when I finally got a chance to check on this trial. They jury found him GUILTY!!!

Sentencing August 28, let us pray justice is reflected in his sentence. Iirc, he faces a mandatory 25 years...can't help but hope it is for his life span. That is what his 13 month old victim is sentenced to experience while still undergoing physical therapy almost 2 yrs later.
