Scroll to 6 of 9 - Front Page of tomorrows Sun "Jo's last text"

evidentally they are saying that Jo sent a text to a friend saying that she was at a loose end and wanted to meet up.....

no further info on whether the friend was male or female and whether it was that night or over the weekend that she wanted to meet up..... I personally think it would be odd if it was that night, if she was at a loose end - why not stay at the pub longer?

ETA - text sent as she walked home
translation of English slang please?

what does 'at a loose end' mean?

Apparently the CAG lived local to Joanna, so is it not possible she dropped the Pizza off on route & said she needed to pop back home for some reason or other ? Or did she stay at the CAG's place, have pizza, drink & then possibly get murdered after refusing his advances ?? He took her belongings back to the flat, including the bottle of cider to make it look like she made it home, but the truth is she didnt ?? Then the dumping of the body could of been anytime over the next few days ??

Because the most baffling thing in this case,IMO, is the fact that Jo would be killed in her home, and then removed from her home after she was dead. That doesn't add up. Someone could have grabbed her after she answered their knock on her front door, and a struggle ensued at the flat's entry way. Which at least explains why LE took the front door for forensics... Strange case.MOO
They'll need to do a "scream test" when they do a reconstruction.

It is a quiet area though, with little ambient traffic noise etc, especially late evening.

OK, let's just suppose we were to ignore everyone who is a potential suspect/witness etc... what would be the profile of the Perp, based on what we know about how Joanna was killed. Is this someone who finds it hard to make relationships with women (and possibly men - the friendship kind), Domineering, cold mother? A mother who is overly involved in the son's life? Someone on this site, not sure who now referenced Harold Shipman and I did a little research into his history, his mother thought that he was better than everyone else and he ended up with a Grandiose attitude to life and to others. Did committing this crime and the ultimate act of strangulation give the perp a sense of power? Is he a woman hater based on his past and does this allow him to even the score somewhere?
still think it is someone Jo knew.

I cannot agree that that where the body was found is on the route from Clifton to Sheffield. In fact that route involves a lot of extra miles compared to picking up the M32 just north of the city centre.
The police must have strong evidence from enforcement cameras, cctv, whatever, that he drove to Sheffield at the time he said he did. Otherwise he would have been arrested. And surely they carried out a full forensic examination of the car he drove to Sheffield in- has that ever been mentioned, though?
So far his alibi is holding up. But I don't exclude the possibility that he got to Sheffield, then immediately drove back in another car to sort things out with Jo, and found a situation he couldn't handle.
