I hope Beth will be found today. Two weeks to cover trace of any potential crime committed is not good

Oh, and the cop arrested for molesting adopted daughters:
I also read locally that he was a big Christian churchgoer, a former scout master, real estate agent, and married to a teacher. He must have confessed right off the bat or the wife got more evidence other than just busting in on him in the act, because he was arrested right away.

Maybe terrorizing her is anout jhim chasing her all over the hotel parking lot & such.

This is horrifying...I wonder what time she was taken out of the motel and if it was on the same night...I hate to think it was later on after her mom had reported her missing...
OK, that last article says she was last seen around midnight on Jan. 5th-do they mean the last sighting was on the video, as in that was when she was taken from motel by force? This is just so scary...her poor mom...and poor Elizabeth. Her mom was close friends with this man?

I read in one article that VE (EE mother) last talked to her at/around 8 pm Jan 4, evening she went to 'babysit'.
And when the purse was returned to the home, it was wee hours of Jan 5th- so I guess that is the date EE marked missing once VE called LE.
I have not seen anything yet to verify EE was actually babysitting...although HMS 'may' have young children. So IMO why she was at the motel is officially know.
She was taken out of the motel ALIVE.

So it sounds as though when they brought the purse back...they had already taken Elizabeth from the motel and either hidden her away or worse...?

I'm not understanding why they took her purse back to her house? Why do that? Why alert her mother?

Yep, whomever brought that purse to the home after acting like EE had already been dropped off was sure trying to distance from her disappearance.
Gosh this is awful.

Maybe the person who took the purse back didn't know that HS had kidnapped her -- found the purse in the room or the car and believed EE had forgotten it.
Or because that way it puts her disappearance in an entirely different place and time -- if she was at her mom's house, then HS and his family can't have anything to do with it. Stranger abduction and all that. If it took LE this long to look at the motel surveillance videos, I'm inclined to think it almost worked.

I think they brought the purse back to make it seem as though they had dropped her off without incident...the purse was kind of an "alibi".

I'm not sure if this has been discussed and/or answered yet, but was her boyfriend there too and dad's common-law wife? A few minutes ago, I read that they had arrested her too - on unrelated charges. She can't make bail, so she's still in jail. She also apparently had charges in the past for either child neglect or child endangerment or something like that...

The guy that was arrested and actually was shown throwing her into the car is the same guy that was "supposed" to have dropped her off at her house. He then went to the house saying that he was bring her purse to her. He even HELPED the family call the police to report her disappearance!

If that's what happened, then definitely trying to make an alibi. I thought maybe the mother girlfriend got home and found the purse where it had been overlooked...

HSM was arrested on Sat Jan 22nd, here is link to public info sheet-
https://apps.co.lubbock.tx.us/jailrosters/viewbs.aspx
The common law wife , same day, different commitment time.
And the son that day also. But he got out.
And IF I recall correctly, all 3 gave the motel as their address.

What I am curious to know, is which came first...the friendship between HSM and VE...or the BF/GF thing with EE and his son HLS?
What made HSM, et al, 'close' friends of the family ? (per http://everythinglubbock.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=69386)
Color me pessimist, but I am doubting the baby sitting story

1. Where is Elizabeth?
2. Where is Hailey?
3. Are the two disappearances connected?
4. If JR had nothing to do with her disappearance, then I am sure he can enlighten everyone with the story of why he was chasing her.
5. What time was the video taken at? What time was her purse brought back to the house?
That is the timeframe during which something nefarious was done to Elizabeth, IF JR was the one who brought the purse back to her house, otherwise the window of time may be far larger.
WHO brought EE's purse back to her home?

The warrant states that Salinas then "escorted" her out of the building leading her to the parking lot with his hand around her arm. The documents say video from the Carriage House depicts that "Elizabeth was afraid of Salinas."

Also from your article linked and BBM:
Elizabeth Ennen has not been seen nor had contact with anyone since Salinas "escorted" her to the parking lot. Elizabeth's mother reported her missing around midnight January 5th after she did not return from a babysitting job. Police first listed her as a runaway. On Saturday, January 22nd, police announced they had found evidence leading them to believe she was kidnapped.
That's 17 days to find the video, identify the suspect and make an arrest.
I wonder if they've looked at more videos at that motel before and after the one night she was known to be there.
