I looked over Beverli Darnell as a possible, because of her eye color. However, I have to wonder if there isn't a mistake on her eye-color, they appear dark in the photo, but Beverli really resembles ElDorado Jane. It was such a long time before she was reported missing by her mother, could it be that she had trouble recalling? I'm not sure, but I submitted her, the dentals and fingerprints should make for an easy comparison. Also, the picture of Ms. Darnell looks like a school photo, four years before her disappearance, so I took that into consideration as well.

I haven't gone back into the original post to check yet, but I seem to recall that "El Dorado Jane" was 5'11'' so I'm wondering about a possible match to Beverli Darnell.

Does anyone know if Beverli's mother is still alive?

It is not the Carousel Club. It is the Carousel Motel. This UID gave her address as the Carousel Motel one of the times when she was arrested in Dallas.

There are copies of her police booking slips or whatever they're called in one of the earlier threads.

Don't feel bad though, I also earlier thought it was the Carousel Club in Dallas she was associated with.

I think Beverly is too short at 5' 6" or 5' 7". El Dorado PD actually lists the Doe as 6 ft. tall on their website. Also, Beverly has very straight hair, and the Doe's looks like it could be naturally curly. Can't say for sure, as there are pics of her with her hair straighter. Texture is definitely different between the two women.

and her obituary : http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/sta...&pid=130513611 and her DOB is there, which means that when Jane used her identity, the true Cheryl was only eight years old at the time!! I suspect that Jane knew them or was related. The Grandmother passed away this year, so I am going to search for missing persons with some of those relatives last names! See where that goes. After twenty years (this month) I'm thinking every avenue should be explored! Here I go.......

A match that I made with between a guy missing from Ohio and a body found in a river in Ohio had the height off I believe 2 or 3 inches. (but I know 4 or 5 inches is a long shot)

I know my hair texture has changed once I had kids (mine went from poker straight to now being naturally curly..and I hate it) I straighten it every morning.

I just want to know who in the heck she is!!!

I think this is a good train of thought. It's also possible that El Dorado Doe babysat for the Wick girl at one time.

Not being a criminal, I can't think of how El Dorado Doe may have accessed the personal info of a minor unless she had some connection with that minor. You'd think that the El Dorado PD would have shown Doe's pics to the Wick family, but who knows?

This Cheryl Wick (what a beautiful girl who was taken too soon!) was born in Rochester, MN - the info on thread #1 says that Cheryl Ann Wick (who Jane got the ID from) was in Little Rock, AR. Did the CW from Rochester have an Arkansas connection? Or did I miss something (as is often the case - seriously, it would be no surprise if I totally mixed something up). It really would be an interesting lead if it works out!

I think it is a stretch to say that this Cheryl Wick, b 1983, was the inspiration for the alias used around 1990 by a woman approximately 18 y.o. at the time.

I went to a people finder website (not paying a premium for results) and looked for a Cheryl A. Wicks in Minnesota. it is not always clear what the maiden name is, there were a few more that seemed better matches.

there is a C.A.W. age 47 in Minneapolis, another age 46 in Mound, MN, another age 46 in Mankato, and yet another age 40 in Minneapolis.

Not really a 'stretch' at all, since the Detectives found the contact information with the Minnesota address of this family, the info was given by ElDorado Jane during her arrest for a hotcheck/forgery, the same information was given during an arrest in Texas. This was before the wonderful worldwide web, so I'm with justthinkin, the probability of ElDorado Jane having this information and used it, is that she had close ties to this family, either through babysitting or relatives. Also, the Wicks and their families are large contributers and activists in helping the poor and especially needy children. The excerpt (below quote) came from an article that originally appeared in the August 2008 issue of the Arkansas Free Press. AFP has a website but this article is not there.

if they called the home in 1991 and a 21 y.o. answered the phone then that Cheryl Wicks was born about 1970, which would make her about 41 now. she would not have been the same person born in 1983.

I really don't think that Rochelle Ihm is the woman found at the Whitehall Motel; she is physically a lot smaller than the unidentified woman.

I remember reading she went to the hospital multiple times before from being beaten. I'm not sure a motive was ever determined but based on the perps rap sheet I'd say he was just a naturally violent person.

I was reading over some of the past information in this case, and a couple of things stuck out at me that I didn't notice before. I may be wrong, but I just want to put it out there.

First, in one of the pieces that I came across, it stated that this Jane Doe worked at the Carousel in Dallas as a prostitute. Well, the only Carousel I remember in Dallas, is the one that Jack Ruby owned. Well that club closed in the 1960's. The Carousel Club was also a strip club, and not a prostitution ring. I cannot find any other mention of a different place by the same name in my searches. Granted, I have not looked into Dallas County Business records yet, but I still found it odd, as there is no way this Jane Doe could have been old enough at the time to work there.

Second, I know I saw somewhere that she worked at a strip club in Wylie. I could be wrong, it may have just said a bar. However, this is still extremely weird, because in the 80's and 90's Wylie was a tiny little town in Collin County. I live right down the road and it is a fact that there are no (nor have been) ANY strip clubs in Wylie. Due to the extremely strict liquor licensing in this county, it is extremely hard to open a bar, especially in the smaller towns.

I am wondering why these two statements were made, and curious as to how factual they are. If they aren't factual, why hasn't this been investigated further. Also, I did find a Carousel Club in Austin that has dancers. Maybe it was an assumption that she was in Dallas due to the Carousel reference and the infamous reputation of Jack Ruby, when actually the Carousel was somewhere else entirely.

I would love to hear thoughts on this. This is one of the first cases I found on this site, and it really bothers me. Thanks!!!

It may be a bit grim of me to suggest this, but given that people die from heart attacks and in the weeks after heart attacks, even more so in 1991 than today, there is a chance that a funeral or death notice was published around this timeframe that may have included the fact that the deceased was a grandmother to Gail. However, I have no idea how difficult the searches for such info would be.
