AL talks about eating, sleeping, running, dieting, eating...only 1 or 2 mentions of Merissa and only then as me & m are driving to...

To summarize? Mom says nothing. She posts about her other kids, life, cooking, etc., but nothing about Merissa being missing. There are a few posts where she does address her, but they are few and far between (most summarized up-thread).
I did notice mom had a FB account for her youngest kid, but the middle boy doesn't have one, nor does Merissa. There is no "Pray for" or "Help Find" FB page for Merissa.

So quick trip to OK with the mom on the 9th.
Mom and Merissa leave TX by 11:04 a.m.
At 12:58 they are at a rest stop eating chili.
2:44 p.m. in Norman and it's sleeting.
Merissa takes over FB on Mom's phone and asks someone (another family member?) if it's ok if they drop the stuff by her house before they check into their hotel.
No other postings until 4:10 p.m. on the 10th. Mom is headed back to TX but no mention of Merissa being with her.
May have stopped and spent the night somewhere???
Back home at 3:06 p.m. on the 11th and can't wait to see hubby and other kids... again no mention of Merissa.
Merissa mysteriously reported missing on the 12th???
No mention of Merissa since... no help find my daughter pleas... no missing FB pages... no media coverage?????

Spoke with NRH PD and she is still missing. She was reported missing by her mother.

But is shows as a closed group, with only one person in it.
When that person is clicked on, there is no mention of Merissa.
Not understanding what is going on, as other posters have mentioned, there are no news articles out there.

Not one person in her family has mentioned that she is missing or even an "endangered runaway." I don't understand that.

One huge difference... at least Durr's parents are concerned and actively looking for her, getting media attention and posting all over the internet trying to find their daughter.
Merissa's on the other hand and too busy with life and birthday party planning. No mention whatsoever of a missing child. I'm absolutely flabbergasted.

To be fair, the BD party was last year (Saturday, March 27, 2010), but I do agree that she is more than adept at using FB for personal important events.

Wow, this is pretty much in my backyard.. bless her heart, it does seem a little strange that the mom is not more proactive in her missing daughter... sad.

Can mom be considered legally 'negligent'?
Her MISSING daughter is only *14*!
eta..What I mean by that is her obvious nonchalant attitude/behavior re: her missing daughter..Not so much that she actually went missing..KWIM?

Also gleaned from mom's FB that the Merissa's younger sister has a cell phone. I wonder if Merissa had one too.
I also wonder if Merissa had run away before where she ran to. Could she have gone the same place again if so? Did she really run away? I'm just so confused here.

Taking a wiiiild guess here, but is it possible that the "Merissa problems" could be that she had mental health issues/addiction. The appointment in OK was to see some type of specialist/treatment facility and the Mom left her there. She returns home, a few days later the facility calls and tells her that Merissa left. Mom files a missing persons report but figures she's around somewhere and will turn up again like she always does. (I'd personally still be concerned, looking and raising all kind of hell....she's a 14 yr old GIRL!!!)
