I wavered as to where to put this as adults seem to have been victims too. But children come first for me. One wonders if this is the very reason this man set up his business. I sure hope that LE is correct in that the secret tapes hadn't made their way to the internet....yet. Thank God a client followed through with her intuition.

Malden businessman arrested for Child Pornography, Invasion of Privacy
MALDEN, Mo. -- "
If you have tanned there, you have possibly been exposed," are the words Malden Chief of Police Jarrett Bullock used when asked who potential victims could be in an Invasion of Privacy/Child Pornography case at a local tanning salon.
On Friday afternoon, February 18, a Malden businessman was arrested on charges of Invasion of Privacy and several charges of Possession of Child Pornography following an investigation at
D.J.'s Tan and Tone, #3 Towne Square, Malden. According to Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Steve Sokoloff,
36-year-old Joseph Layland, Jr. is presently charged with four counts of the Class B felony of Possession of Child Pornography and six counts of the Class D felony of Invasion of Privacy. Sokoloff noted that the investigation indicates that videos taken from the salon have not been posted to the Internet...."

"....I really don't know how many child pornography DVDs we will have...It wouldn't surprise me, it could be one of the largest child pornography cases in the state...."

"....1,700 items were seized including 18 to 24-hours of footage from the salon. Two truckloads and a patrol car were filled with evidence. VHS cassettes, DVDs and two hard drives as well as surveillance equipment were collected. One bin containing evidence weighed 100 pounds and a single box contained over 400 DVDs.....
