deviant can mean so many things and Texas is a pretty conservative state so I wouldn't jump to too many conclusion until they say what it was.....I am not sure why they even released this info without anything to go with it....Its really not telling people anything about Hailey or what happened to her, just making people in the case look bad! If there is nothing on the computer or the USB that shows Hailey or other children it really isn't evidence. Its just another thing for the police department to put out their distracting people from the fact that this poor little girl hasn't been found! They should have taken the case more seriously from the begining and maybe they would have gotten some real evidence.

Me too. I find that number astounding. I am sure the mother knew about it as she used the computer. Very weird to have that on a shared computer.

I haven't read through all of this thread yet but I'm not surprised at the find. He's a young guy and likely there will be porn. However, the nature of the porn could make me worried. If there is sexual sadism acted out that meshes with his obsession with horror movies, then I'll get really worried. He seemed to have wanted an increase the level of violence in the video games he played and movies he watched. I'll be really worried for Hailey in that case. And I'm really sure he's the one who took Hailey. His fantasy life may have crossed over to real life. JMO

I was wondering the same thing..Wonder where Shawn's mom was while it was being downloaded. . (assuming of course that it's Shawn's deviant porn)..Also wondering if this had anything to do with his mom needing to get the computer back all of a sudden? Surely she didn't think LE was going to hand it back without gathering all the info it contained...

ok...I'm confused. Were these 100,000+ images downloaded onto the computer, or were they just 100,000+ in images that had been viewed on this computer? KWIM?

They had to release it because it was requested under the Freedom Of Info act.

I always took the memory stick to be something for a digital camera. Lots of them take them (used like an SD card). Camcorders, some cell phones etc. take them as well.
With it being confiscated from BD's bedroom, I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut that the pornographic images on that stick were umm...shall we say of the personal or homemade variety. We all know the relationship the past several months has been awesome.

Does anyone remember the numerous comments that Billie made on NG about how LE had her phone and Hailey couldn’t call her because LE had her phone. It seemed that Billie was attempting to manipulate LE into giving her back this phone. Billie tried to spin this as Hailey would only call her and not 911 or anyone else if she escaped her abductor. Anyone want to bet that there are numerous deviant photos also on Billies’ phone?

That's for a flash drive/thumb drive/USB drive. A memory stick is a memory card similar to what you use in a camera or cell phone. It hasn't got a USB connector.
Memory Stick is a removable flash memory card format, launched by Sony in October 1998,[1] and is also used in general to describe the whole family of Memory Sticks.

It sounds like the rational conclusion if one has a memory stick with porny on it, one has been making porny pics and videos on one's phone or camera...

Yes they can. They can tell when they were uploaded and when was the last time they were viewed.

I'm thinking perhaps there was a Laptop in the home at the time of HD disappreance and they got rid of it (or hid it)
before BD went to the police station to report Hailey missing.

I was thinking thumb drive, that's what you download to, from a computer.
If it is a memory stick, they would be actual photos, from a camera.
I wonder if they made a mistake in the article and it was a thumb drive they found in the dresser.

A flash drive is a handy tool that allows you to store docs/pics on a tiny electronic drive and then move the material to another computer or electronic source capable of viewing and or uploading.
When I need a print job done I often times take a document or picture to the printer on a flash drive. It is a handy way of carrying electronic data and small. When I travel I will often carry a flash drive with media on it.

There is an escape hatch for LE on FOIA, and I imagine they would have asked for these to be sealed if they were worried about them getting out. They did refuse to release certain info about results of the warrants even though they were requested.

From what I've read, there's no way to look at porn on the Internet and not see someone underage.
Deviant could also mean group sex or fetishism. I'm thinking bondage, considering his "interests."
The fact that this memory stick was in Billy's dresser drawer just makes me mad. No wonder they pulled her son out of that house!

Right - my kids have used them for years to take assignments like Powerpoints to school and load them into the teacher's computer so the class can watch on TV. My daughter saves all her Law School documents on a flash key.
But it's also a good place for hiding porn. He could have downloaded it from the computer then wiped the computer drive clean.
So I don't really think these are pictures of Hailey or even Billy, but more likely just weird stuff from the Internets.
