Polk County Sheriff's OfficeDeputies in Polk County are asking for the public's help in finding a missing Poinciana man who authorities suspect may want to harm himself.

Deputies said 54-year-old Bryan James Mahoney was last seen in downtown Clearwater on Friday. He was driving a white 2004 4-door Ford with Florida tag P896AT.

Investigators say Mahoney has "expressed a desire to harm himself." Deputies described him as about 5-foot-9, 210 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.

Officials warn that anyone who sees Mahoney should not approach him, as he has been trained in martial arts.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts are asked to contact local law enforcement of call the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 863-298-6200.
