I think it's an appetite for scandal. Holly is quite beautiful, and very well liked. She has a cousin who is equally beautiful and well on the way to becoming a celeb . Maybe some local nobodies are jealous?

I think they've already ruled out that Holly was taken because of who her cousin is.

Sorry, don't want to get all "psychic" or anything. Some of you were relating that you had dreams about Holly.
Yesterday, while doing research, I posted that the word "Honeymoon" had entered my mind. This a.m. I'm getting this word again, only it's: "What about the Honeymoon?"
From the first time I read about Elizabeth Shoaf several years ago, I knew I had read that she somehow convinced the abductor that she was in love with him. Only yesterday I could not find that information.
Today, I have in this article:
http://insidedateline.msnbc.msn.com/...hoaf-did-right
Captain David Thomley
_____________________________
She was the captive but he became the victim of a reverse Stockholm syndrome. Elizabeth pretended to care about him as a person. He fell in love with her and began to think that he would have a life with her.
_____________________________
I figure this is the "Honeymoon" I'm thinking about.
Just trying to explain.

I sincerely don't think LE would do that to anyone searching. LE normally calls all search parties back to HQ then sends them home & proceed to rope off the area & get evidence.

Its just semantics I guess. 21 is "adult" 18 is "minor". While 20 isnt a little child shes still someone's child and is not "old" by any means. Perhaps listing her as a "child" makes more search options available. Like do they do Amber Alerts for adults?

This is the PROBLEM right here with MSM..How is anyone supposed to get the FACTS of this case? Or any other similar one for that matter.
We heard all about "junk science" in the OJ case & now the CA case..I'm in no way comparing the two (don't believe it even is "junk science") but from now on I consider most media to be using "junk reporting"!
Brother didn't see Holly Bobo abduction
They say, instead, that he saw blood outside the home after he saw her speaking with a man.

Interview with Whitney Duncan:
Duncan (regarding the rumors about the brother):
"For people that are going through such a hard time, that's the last thing we want to hear."
Duncan:
"There was some false information out there, and, which is definitely hurtful to the family."
Gwyn (Speaking as to why they suspect a local):
"Just because of the terrain, and where she was abducted from, you would have to know, uh, where you were going, the entrances, the exits, in order to, to, do this."
http://abcnews.go.com/US/holly-bobo-...ry?id=13397819
Kristin Helm(I'm sorry, some other reports give her name as Christine, so i think I have it spelled that way as well)
Helm:
"At this time, we, we are trying to develop a suspect, of course, and we have reason to believe that that suspect is probably from this community. Um, it's a small community, tight-knit, where people probably know each other. Uh, we need people to think about, back to Wednesday morning, to the time when Holly disappeared, between 7:40, 8:14 a.m. If someone knows of somebody that was dressed in camouflage that morning, and their whereabouts are unknown to you, um, that;s information that we would like to know. If somebody suddenly called in sick to work, or missed an appointment, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, that's information we would want to know. If someone has suddenly begun cleaning up an ATV or a car, or reported a car st-, uh, stolen suddenly, or turned around and sold a vehicle, um, that's information that we would want to know. If somebody's feeling very anxious or acting suspicious, um, behaving abnormally, feeling a lot of anxiety, these are all things that would lead us to believe that this person could be a suspect. Maybe, maybe not. But that's the information that we would like the public to, to give us right now.
"There's a family out there that needs closure, and it's up to us to give it to them," Gwyn said in the town of Parsons, where law enforcement and volunteers have been headquartered. "We will let the investigation go where the leads take us. It may be in state, it may be out of state, but no matter where it is, we'll follow that lead."
"We're just hoping that all of this combined, and by getting ... the community active in the search, that we are able to turn up some type of lead," Gwyn said. "And the next lead may be the one we need."
http://www.cnn.com/2011/CRIME/04/18/...missing.woman/
Gwyn:
"Right now we have one eyewitness, and that is, uh, Holly's brother, and he was not able to give us a description of the person."
"Governor Haslam has increased the reward by $50,000 for the arrest of conviction," TBI Director Mark Gwyn said. "There's $25,000 out there, you know, for any information regarding the whereabouts of Holly Bobo. So, a total of $75,000.
"We have no indication otherwise," he said. "We did find blood at the scene, but not enough to lead us to believe that it was a life-threatening injury, so we've got to just hope and pray that she is still alive."

More like 8 or 9. Even groceries about about 10 miles away. But, you're right that in the country, driving 20 miles isn't that big a deal.

My response was regarding the issue of facebook/social media comments maligning Holly. I did not imply anything about Holly's abduction being tied to her cousin.

They did say in one of the vids that there was a profile developed, but details were not being released. So maybe that profile includes how this person would react to law enfoorcement stopping or questioning him in any capacity?
Just a thought on the roadblocks, they might be trying to flush out someone using those and the profile. MOO.

It is possible profilers told them that the abductor would not be able to resist coming to road block?

For some reason, this one did not come up in order and is dated 4/17:
"It is likely the person knew her," said Kristin Helm, a spokeswoman with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

The one detail I am still waiting on is the blood... IF Holly bopped this guy in the nose or lip it could be his... You would think that it would be easy to at least check blood type to see if the type matched Holly or not. If Holly were say type O and the blood found was type A... Possibly because we have not heard about the blood that it is the suspects?
