Yesterday WJLA (our local ABC affiliate) ran this case at the top of the broadcast, so it is starting to get high priority attention in the local media.

OMG I am so happy to hear this! So happy for all of Matt's family and friends. If he didn't know before, he sure will know now how much he is loved. Wow - this is incredible news! Nothing matters except that he is safe.
Answered prayers through God's Grace!

Glad to see that he is ok. It does go to show you that although close family/friends say he wouldn't just leave, sometimes, people just need to get away. I wish he would have thought of his family though. Bottom line, he's safe! Welcome home Matt!

I am glad he is okay, but I really wish people would let someone know if they just want to be alone for a while...

Thankful for this community. Despite me saying 'dont go there' from the get go(re: leaving at his own accord), I appreciate everyone here.
Thank God for how everything unfolded.

Lieutenant Ralph Neal confirmed Sunday that Matthew Hill was found safe and had left for "personal reasons."
"He apparently didn't let anyone know where he was at," Neal told The Charlotte Observer. "We asked the police in Asheville to make contact with him there.
