CO - Silver Alert: Katherine Altergott, 87, Lakewood, 1 June 2011
Katherine Altergott, who goes by the name of Katie, disappeared from her home in Lakewood, Colorado on 6/1/11 at 6PM. Her home is located near Wadsworth and Hampden.
Katie suffers from both Dementia and Alzheimers. She may be heading towards previous residences in Greenley or Cheyenne. Anyone in the Denver Metro Area should be on the lookout for Katie. She is likely very confused.
So far, police have been unable to find her. You will find photos at this link-family will be sending me her height, weight, etc shortly.

Katherine is 5'3" tall and 160lbs. She has silver hair and blue eyes.
She has been entered into NCIC, but did not get entered into the Silver Alert system. If anyone has some time, let's reach out to local media and see if we can get her face out there...many thanks!

Hi everyone, My name is Michelle Dargen. Katherine is my grandma. Thank you so much for keep your eyes open and taking a look around. It's been over 36 hours and we just want to bring her home.

I sent out news tips to Fox, CBS, ABC and NBC as well as the Denver Post and the Lakewood Sentinel. Who did I miss??

Welcome Michelle! I might add the phone number for the Lakewood PD detective's handling her case to the webpage you created. It is likely that the media will call them to verify her status prior to running any stories.

Oh wow. I'll surely watch for her. I didn't hear this on the morning news. Maybe drop a line to 9news Denver. And The Denver Channel.com.
I used to listen to the Lakewood scanner all of the time but it is no longer operational online.

She was FOUND
Katie was found safe at an area hospital!
