We're looking at McClintic's drawings of the crime scene, plus an artist's sektch of the nearby house
On their drive, McClintic spotted side road six. Told Darmon that was where she and Rafferty dumped their shoes.
As they drove around, McClintic identified a gravel road (side road 6) where she disposed of her showed that night
Slide show not showing photos of the road.

Court adjourned for 20 minutes.

Just got back on here, had a thought though, basically the defense is claiming that MR walked away and than came back to find Tori already killed, so what are they implying that someone else raped her while he turned his back? If so, since the defense knows the evidence, was there no semen found on Tori or someone elses???

I'm beginning to think next really will be Rafferty coming to court with a colouring book and crayons, as someone so hilariously suggested the other day.

I'm wondering those same things as well.

Well at least Derstine is admitting MR was there. What does that mean?! MR is guilty. Tori died while in his and TLM's custody during an abduction.
Are we to believe MR did not sexually assault Tori?! Yet this is the guy who stalked out a teenager ten years his senior and within minutes of meeting her, drove her out into the country to have sex with her. Possibly unconsensual sex. Hmmm. Nope not buying Derstine's claim MR was horrified at TLM's proposal. But MR did agree to help TLM abduct Tori?! Now the good stuff is starting to come out. I bet the jury had a real ah ha moment today.
And to top it off TLM was the one to direct MR to the site where Tori was murdered. There is a chapter coming up, cannot recall the title but it's something to do with MR's familiarity with Guelph and Mount Forest area. Will be interesting if the Crown calls upon MR's friend(s) who may claim MR knew this site. We will have to wait and see if that is so.

re:bold
There is no proof that MR stalked TLM nor is there proof he raped her when they had sex for the first time in his car. If this were true, why would she agree to go to the movie theater where they had sex again, and to the Super 8 motel, where again they had sex?
Why wouldn't this be part of her testimony? That not only did MR rape Tori, he raped her too? IMO, because it's not true.
btw, TLM is 10yrs his junior.

The suggestion Derstine put forth this morning was that MR did not rape Tori, would he say that if he knew there was DNA evidence to prove without a doubt that his client actually did? I doubt it.

Looks like TLM has a habit of committing heinous acts and blaming it other people.

I don't agree dilbert...she is basically taking the blame for this heinous crime. She is not hiding behind anyone and she very easily could have. jmo

The jury is now being shown a drawing McClintic made on June 3, 2009, of a car wash in Cambridge, which she says was used by herself and Rafferty to clean the car after killing Tori. She also created two pictures showing the variety store where she says they changed their clothes on the night of April 8, 2009.
McClintic was never able to identify the car wash or variety store.

Det. Const. Darmon says police checked several car washes in Cambridge but could not identify the building described by McClintic. The officer now presents a photo of a variety store near McClintic's home in Woodstock, where she says Rafferty dropped her off on the night of April 8, 2009.

Next slide shows the most direct route from Woodstock to the crime scene.
Det. Cst. Darmon says it took 2 hours and 30 minutes to drive from one to the other.
Darmon said it took him two hours, 30 minutes to drive from Woodstock to crime scene near Mt. Forest
The jury is now shown a map showing a route between Woodstock and the location where Tori's body was found, which passes through all of the landmarks McClintic described. Det. Const. Darmon said it took him roughly two hours and 15 minutes to drive the route.

Thus far, I think the Crown was shell shocked and unprepared when they learned TLM had changed her statement.......just prior to the opening of the trial.
They had built their case around key witness TLM, and believed her eyewitness account would justify some of the charges against MTR.
TLM successfully manipulated experienced police investigators and Crown prosecutors into believing what she told them.
To say the credibility of TLM would be challenged in this trial, is an understatement of epic proportions.
TLM has absolutely zero credibility left. Nothing she says can be believed, and evidence must be gathered from other sources.
We wait to discover what evidence the Crown will present, that will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that MTR demonstrated criminal intent and is guilty of abduction, rape, and murder.
