CA - Sebastian McDonald, 11 months, Redding, 11 April 2012
The Redding Police Department is asking the public's help in locating a missing child that was last seen Wednesday night. Heather Gifford reported to police 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning that her son Sebastian was missing.
Sebastian McDonald, born 04/25/11, was last seen around midnight Wednesday with Gifford's boyfriend Christopher McDonald near the Good News Rescue mission on South Market Street in Redding.
Christopher McDonald has been located but police are still looking for Sebastian.
People staying at the mission told KRCR News Channel 7 that they saw the little boy in a carseat with his mother just before 6:00 am Thursday morning. They saw the mother again about an hour later, but that time, she wasn't with the little boy and she told them she was looking for Christopher.

Redding Police say they have 40-60 people searching for Sebastion. Search is focused on Whiskeytown and Downtown Redding. The search involves the Sheriff's Department, Police Dept., Regional CART team, and now the FBI is involved.

She said Gifford was only with her daughter and was looking for her boyfriend, Christopher McDonald.
While we were at the Good News Rescue Mission, Redding Police searched Gifford's car and had it towed away.[/quote]

seems to be lots of inconsistencies around this situation....

"Cheri Sanchez, 52, who was also staying at House of Hope, said Gifford told others she had left the boy with a friend, Sanchez said.
But Thursday morning Gifford didn’t seem to know where the boy was, Sanchez said 
“Around 7:30 a.m. she started asking, ‘Has anybody seen my baby?’”
All I can say is Wow - confusing! This is also different from the previous versions posted...
Let's hope that baby is found and placed in a safe situation, and the older sister too!

The toddler, Sebastian McDonald, was reported missing Friday morning by his mother after he never returned when he left with her boyfriend, Christopher McDonald. Though both have the same last name, they are not related.

Im begining to wonder if the reporters are on drugs, is it thursday morning or Friday morning this baby was reported missing ?

Police said they will be charging Christopher McDonald with kidnapping and murder.
Yes, wth indeed is wrong with people. I don't have the answer and yet I keep asking myself the same thing ...

Times are hard for a lot of people, and as down as this mother was, I cannot believe that her situation got worse.
Mad times we live in.

Poor little baby. Mother has to accept some responsibility for this crime. She chose to travel, aimlessly it seems, with that boyfriend. Another case where having a play-mate meant more than the child one gave birth to, apparently. Somebody could have, would have, should have loved that child more than life itself.
