Quote:
Police are questioning friends and relatives of a missing Fort Bragg soldier who is believed to be in danger.

Kelli Bordeaux, 23, was last seen early Saturday morning leaving Froggy Bottoms bar in Fayetteville, N.C. The private first class, who is stationed at nearby Fort Bragg, was reported missing on Monday by base officials, police said.

"There is some information we've gathered that makes us concerned for her safety," said Fayetteville Police spokesperson Gavin MacRoberts. He declined to go into more detail due to the ongoing investigation.

He did not speak to me directly about Kelli. In fact, I was the only one he did not question. I was okay with that though. He told me a few jokes, some of which were funny, and we bs'd a bit about life in general. He was pretty drunk when he got there. The bar tender cut him off and he had to be escorted out of the bar.

I do not remember his exact words that lead everyone to believe he was her father. And I do not know all of the questions he was asking because he was getting real close to people when he asked them. I know he asked one guy if he thought Nick was capable of doing it. He asked the tender what she saw that night. That's about all I can remember that I heard.

I don't know how much information he really got though.

LOL VOH are you serious????

He really looked like this? LOL I have this vision!

glass eye !
missing teeth!
A mullet and a cowboy hat on !

And he said he was her dad?

That's one of the first reasons I started doubting him even possibly being her biological father or any kind of relative. FYI the eye wasn't as obvious as one would think.

Have you heard of any other homeless people, besides NH, who lived in the woods around the FB area?
Thanks.
There's several throughout the woods around here.

Since Kelli's mom and husband were in Tennessee I wonder if they are headed home to Florida. Does anyone know if the brother or sister are remaining in N.C., or if they are headed back to their home states too?

I was wondering that myself, maybe she was doing an internship of some sort at the hospital and never showed. I cannot picture them working her Sunday night, and then her having to report for duty early on Monday too. Unless it was an internship or something to do with the homework they mentioned in MSM that was laid out in her home. Perhaps she had some field study involved with it....Just a wild guess....

OMGoodness i dont think they would leave!
Do You?
Why would they be in Tennessee?

If it was a news cast it was probably an affiliate out of Tenn.

Just a thought!

VOH, does anyone know the history of the actual building where Froggy's is located? Has the building ever been used as a restaurant or cafe of any kind, or a bar that served food, like burgers and fries. I know that Froggy's doesn't serve food out of the building now but I am asking about possible uses in the past.

Curious because VOH said that NH mowed the grass and did other chores around the building. Is it possible that there is an old grease trap or septic system located on the property that NH might have found? Also a few days ago some people were talking about the stench/smell that was supposedly coming from behind Froggy's, and other said that a body would not have decomposed that quicky, but we need to remember that she supposedly disappeared on Friday night/early Saturday morning but was not reported missing until Monday. By the time LE got the report about the stench/smell on Tuesday? or Wednesday?, her body would have begun to decompose and smell.

Also Kelli had an Apple I-phone so turning it off would not have disabled the cell tower pings or the GPS function, only a dead battery or the removal of the battery (which is very hard to do on an i-phone) would stop those functions.

It showed under them "Jackson, Tenn", I cannot picture them having to drive there just for the newscast. I don't know. I would venture they could have just as easily sent a reporter to N.C. The newslady even said, you have recently been in N.C. assisting with the search. Just wonder if they had to head home....handle affairs possibly and head back to N.C.

Re: the several homeless people in the woods.

I find that interesting. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, I had imagined that NH was the only one homeless living in the woods in and around that area, but I guess not! Are you aware of LE questioning any of the homeless population in that area to find out what they may know? I think if there is a sub-culture, if that's fair, of homeless in and around those very woods where NH lived then they certainly may know something about what happened that evening.

She may have been assigned "duty" for Sunday night which is not uncommon for lower ranked personnel. They have to pull "duty" in addition to their regular jobs and the Brass doesn't care how little sleep you get between the two. My son is an E-5 in the Navy, an instructor/teacher for C school, Monday thru, Friday, but still has to pull "duty" on weekends, at least twice a month or more.

This is not the civilian world. Kelli may have been training to be a medic but she was a soldier first. She would have duties as a soldier in addition to whatever else her job duties were. The military doesn't have what we term "meetings". They have musters, roll call, inspections, duty etc., which are all "official" functions at which your attendance or absence would be duly noted. The military commands you rather than asks.

MB's Car Mileage

For those who are wondering about the mileage on Mike's new (used) vehicle he purchased in Florida, when he registered the vehicle he had to fill out a vehicle application form which requires the odometer reading of said vehicle. I am probably certain that LE has checked the mileage on that vehicle. If there have been little miles driven, he should have no worries.... If there has been alot of miles, then he has some splaining ta do...

I am not certain on this....In Colorado we only had to do a VIN on vehicles that were purchased from out of state. When I read this, it could be the same for Florida....I think he would not need a VIN, if purchased from someone in Florida who had a title in Florida...IMHO...

I used to do VIN Inspections as part of my duty.
