The article has a very clear pic of where the house is vs water treatment plant and the woods we searched today.
Also, I know where bio dad is...im not going to say due to no link - just talking to family friend today. He is not responsible.

Rescue workers search ponds for missing Mt. Pleasant boy 06/24/2012 9:16 PM
@lisayj_msun and MARK RANZENBERGER
@ranzenberger Tribal Police and rescue workers searched a waste water treatment pond visible from Carnel Chamberlain's home on Tomah Road on Sunday while a crowd of spectators gathered to watch. Marcella Hadden, public relations manager from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, said the ponds were being searched to exhaust all locations the boy, who has been missing since Thursday, might be.

I was just getting ready to post the same article kseal'
Tribal Police and rescue workers searched a waste water treatment pond visible from Carnel Chamberlain’s home on Tomah Road on Sunday while a crowd of spectators gathered to watch. Marcella Hadden, public relations manager from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, said the ponds were being searched to exhaust all locations the boy, who has been missing since Thursday, might be.
Down the road, search efforts in a grid between Leaton and Shepherd roads were called off around 5:30 p.m. Search and rescue experts called the search because the area had been combed thoroughly. Hadden said if search efforts needing volunteers continue on Monday, volunteers would be called and information would be posted on the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s website and on their Facebook page.

At least from this aerial, it looks like there is an open view for quite a distance from the home, if the child was noticed missing within minutes. Unless he darted straight for the woods.

If you go to vinelink and click on MI on the map and then go to court cases, there are 2 cases with the same name as the BF, one in Tuscola county and one in Isabella county. Both state guilty, however you are unable to tell what type of case it is.There are some charges on otis against the same person that appears to be him. http://mdocweb.state.mi.us/otis2/oti...cNumber=784837
for: Police Officer - Assault/Resist/Obstruct - Attempt and Police Officer - Fleeing - Fourth Degree - Vehicle Code. All took place in Isabella county and it states he is Native American.

side note....while waiting to go out, there was a native with an abalone shell with something (i missed what) burning inside of it. He walked around fanning it on everyone -- we were told it was to bless us.

Family members say Carnel was being watched by his mother's boyfriend in her home in this subdivision. The boyfriend said the boy was in a small pool behind the home, but then noticed the 4-year-old was gone.
At what time?
Who else was at the house when Carnel was allegedly in the small pool behind the home?
What type of pool?
How deep?
What kind of assistance, if any, did Carnel need get into and out of the small pool?

I always feel like I learn so much on each and every case. Sadly because we are searching and holding vigil for the ones that are missing. Hopefully, what we gain from past cases sparks our memory for ones in the future that leads to a positive outcome.
I just don't feel Carnel wandered off. IMO the bf knows what happened and I hope The Tribal Council, LE and the FBI know more than we do and he is found safe.

It's not a hot dog, it's a blunt. From the finger nails, it appears a male is rolling it.
Sad if this is what little Carnel was exposed to. I know that kind of stuff is enough to get child protective services involved.

I suspect the mother's boyfriend killed the boy and hid his body. He was the boy's babysitter so he should know where the boy is and what happened to him. He also hasn't been cooperative with police. I feel so bad for the mom. We go up and use the Chippewa land often. We use their nature center and wildlife viewing area, go to their museum, and use their hiking trails. Our dog rescue is about to take a fundraising trip to the same casino the boy's mom works at. I hope they find the boy soon.

I don't believe the info regarding what the boyfriend said about the pool was reported by The Morning Star. IIRC, it was reported by an ABC affiliate in a video.
I'm hoping the media is reading here and gathering some of these many questions we have.
If we don't see anything in a day or two, let's definately compile a list and sent it off to all the media outlets which have reported on this case.

I hate to think the people responsible for watching and caring for Carnel were under the influence, possibly fell asleep and awoke to find an accident they hid.... Or were too effed up to have any comprehension as to what was happening with Carnel. I can't shake the feeling that is exactly what happened here.

This. This. This.
When I was 5, my mother picked up a homeless hitch hiker from the side of the road (I was in the car), and he became her live-in boyfriend. Details aside, he was a total creep, but she kept him around for years, knowing what he was capable of. This was not an "error in judgement." it was a blatant failure, as a mother, to put the safety and well-being of her child above her own wants.
I feel for the mother, I do. I'm a mother, myself. Though, I'm not a single mom, I know without question, that if my husband and I were to go our separate ways, my next choice of partner would not be a convicted felon that I would allow to be alone with my children. My kids come first. Always. I would stay single for the rest of my life before introducing a questionable character into their lives.
All, JMO, of course.

Me too Cubby. I think the boyfriend may have panicked and instead of calling for help, he tried to hide what happened. Maybe thinking that he would be sent back to jail or prison.
My other thought, he sent him out to play and never checked on him. That van which was reportedly seen in the neighborhood is haunting me as a possibility.

The van still seems like a red herring or grasping at straws to me. They reside on a road that leads to a camp ground. It's the only way in and the only way out of the campground. People would be coming and going down that road to and from the campground at any time. So theoretically everyone that was at the campground would be suspect.
However, LE is not going to move past the family or those at the house until they can rule all of them out. If the boyfriend isn't involved, he should take a poly. However, if he was under the influence it's quite possible he doesn't remember everything that occured the day of Carnel's disappearance. Both marijuana and alcohol will do that, if he was using either. Because a blunt was added to moms FB page, I suspect both drugs and alcohol are part of the norm in their lives. Sad, but true.

Does the bf work? If he has a job as a construction worker, search the job sight. Does he drive and have access to a car, check the car. If something happened at home the "cover up" is going to begin with is convienant and quick. This does not appear to be planned. I feel there was an accident and the bf freaked out. Fear and under the influence can be a deadly combination. just saying....
