"Lomax is considered at-risk because her disappearance is inconsistent with her normal behavior patterns."
http://www.news10.net/news/local/art...rom-Sacramento
There doesn't seem to be much information around at the moment, most articles have pretty similar information.
I read somewhere that the area she disappeared from is a high traffic area. Are there any locals that know the area?
I hope she is found safe and well very soon. Thoughts and prayers for her family.

I work in Sacramento frequently. It is a high traffic area. Howe is a heavy traveled road, someone must have seen her.

From:
http://davis.patch.com/articles/uc-d...idered-at-risk
"Lomax's father told KCRA that his daughter had a nervous breakdown during finals. She was checked into Sutter Health psychiatric hospital, but was later released "on an outpatient basis," according to KCRA.
Her father said that she went for a walk and has not been seen since."
The way the article is worded is vague, however I take from it that the breakdown was during finals which were earlier in June (around the 8th - 14th at UC Davis) I don't know how long she would have stayed in the hospital, though, or when she was released.
IMO MOO

I hope Linnea just needed some room to breathe and some time to herself and she will return safe and well soon. Her parents must be scared to death not knowing where she is or what her state of mind is.

I am from Sacramento.
Looking at the 800 block of howe ave. we have several businesses:
There is a florist, a travel store, a pasta place, a cosmetics store, and a tanning salon. There are also medical offices and a law firm, and several other office type buildings.
My only concern is that she possibly left that area on foot and headed for the American River parkway, which although a beautiful place to visit, is not that safe.
I will try and figure out if she lives in sac or davis, because that makes all the difference in the world.

My first thought was she was wearing a hooded sweatshirt in Sacto @ one in the afternoon, at this time of year?

What is a "directioner family"?
Happy to see all the people gathered to search. Looks like they are at the Safeway Parking lot @ 424 Howe Ave, for any of you locals.

According to this press release, she walked out of an outpatient facility and was not seen again.

Although I'm not sure this is considered MSM, There's a small article at the Tribune Weekly Chronicle that says "Linnea Lomax was last seen walking out of her doctor’s office a couple days ago and disappeared very shortly after while waiting outside for her parents to pick her up."
Source: http://tribwekchron.com ( http://s.tt/1ge76)
I'm guessing it might be this doctors office: Sutter Counseling Center - Psychotherapist, Mental Health Clinic on the 800 block of Howe Ave.
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&s...oi=local_group
Also, reading the FB comments on https://www.facebook.com/HelpFindLinnea , there's a post saying if you do see her to call 911 before approaching her. Apparently there was a possible sighting (yesterday?) and when the searcher approached, the girl ran away. Nobody is sure if the sighting was really her.
Also apparently there was an interview with the father on a local news station last night (fox40?) that is discussed briefly in the comments regarding Linnea's mental state at times. I searched for a video of that interview but came up empty.
Previous articles have said that she disappeared after 'going for a walk' but the little blurb above says she was waiting for a ride. So I'm not sure if that is rumor, etc.
I wonder if they've been able to review security cams in the area?
Hope she is found soon.

Trying to get a link to google maps of the area:
Can't get link to work here correctly... but street view of area looks pretty nice, unless I'm not looking at the right part of Howe Ave... anyone can help with this?

If her photo is current, she has very distinctive hair, esp. for central CA. Blondes are pretty rare. So hopefully someone sees her soon.
I wonder if she had any friends in SanFran or southern CA that she would run to? I would think if she was depressed and/or confused you would go somewhere familiar.
Has she ever used the train or bus system? Lately it seems like the people around this age that I follow on the missing boards have been hightailing it out of their area to clear their heads.
Hoping she is found soon.

Does she know anyone in the Lake Tahoe area? Could she have been trying to get to Lake Tahoe? Highway 50 will take you right into the south shore of Lake Tahoe.
I wonder if she made plans for someone to pick her up, and the walk was a ruse?

Mmmm, no. Blondes exist in that area, including our niece. I'm a dark brunette, and I stand out far more in N. CA than I did in S. CA.
Anywhere S. of Highway50 between Howe and Bradshaw has NOT been a great area.
