Honestly, I am sick of a lot of celebrities and their lifestyles. I don't think quite so many people would be signing up for bondage and bankruptcy in the cult of Scientology if they didn't get sucked in by people like Tom Cruise and John Travolta making it look all cool and all that. There were enough rumors about Tom Cruise auditioning for his next wife before Katie Holmes came along that even me, someone who doesn't follow this stuff at all, knew about it just from commercials and headlines in the grocery line. So I don't have a lot of sympathy for her, either, but I do feel very bad for Suri. I just hope Ms. Holmes has enough sense to get her away from the cult, but fat chance of that.

Where did he play Reacher? OMG - I'M MORE Jack Reacher than he is lmao. I'm 5'2" - taller than HE is lol. Even Tom Selleck would have a hard time filling Reacher's shoes. Reacher is a BIG BAD A$$!

I've been wondering what's going on with Tom and Katie. She and Suri have been pictured together in NYC alot lately with no sign of Tom. I wish the paps would leave little Suri alone. The poor kid cannot have a temper tamtrum without being pictured on the front page of the Daily Mail.

Tom is weird, imo. I like Katie alright (she ticked off alot of Wilmington, NC locals while working on Dawson's Creek by putting down our town) and think she is a good actress but she really hasn't done anything much since marrying Tom. Maybe now she can get her acting career back. I suspect Tom is a narcissitic control freak.

I wish Katie and Suri all the best and hope the paps leave them alone during this time. I wish that Tom will agree to the conditions in the divorce papers and then jump on a space ship and disappear. LOL!

She did her time, hopefully, it will be an amicable divorce (they do have a lovely daughter together). I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt, that she went into it thinking it would be a true marriage. At least, having 2 loving parents who want the best for their child, bodes well for them maintaining a civil relationship....

Nicole Kidman divorced Tom one week short of her 10 year contract...the marriage literally lasted 9 years, 11 months and 3 weeks (I know this because mine did too).

Tom planned for a hispanic for his next wife to help spread Scientology to this demographic, and Penelope Cruz considered it before backing away.

For whatever reason KH decided to spend a period of her life also contracted as his wife. Those who have followed her career know it was at a standstill when TC came along. She is really just not particularly good at acting, nor being famous. Being TC's wife was a great career move at the time, until he went off couch jumping and showing his general lunacy.

The fact that she was trapped in pretty much an arranged marriage has caused her to dress like hell, and look like hell, IMO as subtle revenge at TC (remember what a fashion plate Nicole is - part of the job description). She also refused to smile properly in any photo of them together in later years...again, a subtle protest.

IMO Suri IS TC's natural child, she has his crazy eyes. Hate to say that about such a beautiful little girl but that one is going to be trouble....probably is already. She was not conceived in the traditional way, but in a test tube.

Watch this space...TC will now "fall in love" with an even younger woman, whose career is also on the slide/not happening. He will attempt damage control on the "O" network, Oprah needs the ratings. He will star in lower and lower budget movies until he suddenly decideds to be a "director" or "producer" and get his fame fix through Suri, who right now is the most recognised face in the world (with all the accompanying potential psychological problems this sort of hot-house up bringing will induce) thanks to her loving fame-grasping parents.

Or, (my personal fantasy) the web of bs and lies TC and his fellow Scientolofreaks, the Travoltas, will be exposed once and for all for the piles of crazy they actually are, and TC also will be revealed as a closet homosexual.

John and Tom will both retire to the compound and we will see photos of them in 20 years with long grey hair and birkenstocks, holding hands while they select organic groceries.

Scientology is freaking crazy. They bombard libraries with their free book, dvds and materials in the guise of donating literature. We had so many boxes of that crap at our library that we didnt even bother to open them. I have read a lot about the history of scientology and they are just brainwashing control freaks who scam many people and claim things that just aren't true.

Tom really lost me when he attacked Brook Shields for her postpartum, depression and got into that debate with Matt Lauer "Matt, Matt, you are being glib!"

Odd that Tom's two first wives (Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman) were able to have children of their own but not with Tom. It seems apparent that he has fertility problems and that Suri was a lab creation.

I remember when Tom and Katie first got together that he wanted her to stop being called Katie and would only refer to her as Kate and corrected people who called her Katie.

He's just freaking weird!! I am so glad to see she has broken free of him and will hopefully be able to smile again.

Woah....now THAT I didn't see coming.

That implies that there is some sort of parenting issue with TC and his daughter in the eyes of KH.

With their money and resources, they could easily share custody...or even not have a formal arrangement at all (I never did with my ex).

I agree with this to-the media on this story is going to be non-stop for months to come! I feel sorry for KH & Suri.I do hope Katie can shield Suri from most of it

He is probably one of those selfish parents who see nothing wrong with living a life of luxury while refusing to give their kids a dime to teach them the value of a dollar. My father was like that. As far as Suri being TC's bio child. I just don't see it. I see a lot of Katie in her but nothing of Tom. I think the chances of him being her bio dad are probably about the same as Michael Jackson being the dad of Prince, Paris and Blanket. And maybe for the same reasons.
