I hate to say this, but I'm kind of getting the same vibe as what happened in Melissa Best's case. Melissa had gone to the store and then dropped her daughter off at a friend's house. Groceries were found on the counter indicating that she planned on returning home soon. She was last seen on a surviellance video near her home driving. A week or 2 later, her van was found in abandoned in an apartment complex - except she was dead inside the van.
What really happened was after she dropped her daughter, she went to her sister and brother-in-law's (it was her husband's brother) motel room. They did drugs and she ended up ODing. The sister and brother in law took her dead body and van and dropped it off in the apartment complex because who the heck knows - they were scared? In any event both were charged and convicted of a few charges (but I can't recall which ones right now).
FWIW, no one suspected Melissa of doing drugs, it seems. It was never talked about during the whole investigation until she was found inside the van.

Here are the links for Oklahoma court dockets. I don't know why they have 2 sites.

The above link has Tulsa County.

This link has some counties that border Tulsa County.

To report her missing at 5 p.m. the following day, when she'd been then missing for 24 hours makes it appear this wasn't completely unexpected that she'd be out all night long. A bit of a concern, but it came to a crisis when she missed her party at 5. That, and carrying $800 in cash, and having a "players card" that she had used just a week or so before. It just doesn't seem completely hopeless to think that she isn't safe somewhere on an adventure.
Prayers she is found safe.

What bothers me is that he is rarely mentioned in any of the news articles about her disappearance. The stories keep mentioning how worried her children are.
(1) It was either a normal pattern for her...or (2) he didn't care that she came home that night???

Relatives also find it hard to believe that Harris would disappear willingly, even if she were stressed over getting everything done for the party.
"She was nervous about (the cookout), but the Fourth of July was one of her favorite holidays," Shockley said. "She was in a good mood."

I wonder why she was nervous about the party? Was it the fireworks (she did buy a fire extinguisher though)? The people coming? Cooking?

Sergeant Andy Choate said he hopes a search warrant will lead to Harris's belongings. He plans to search the place in question within 24 hours of receiving the warrant.
I wonder if they are going to search the apartments or the the friend's house that she visited.
I pray this turns out fine...and they have some answers for her two children soon!

Did you two find out who the friend named Micheal is?
We just had our second Grandbaby Tuesday. I can't imagine that Kelley would walk away from her daughter who is ready to deliver.
As usual I have more questions, than answers.

I was positive I found him, but the person I found appears crystal clean.
Congrats on the new grandbaby! Have fun spoiling the little one! I can't imagine Kelley walking away from grandbaby or son's wedding.
I just checked news for updates but found none.

I really hope that LE is on the ball in this case, I don't feel good about this. Wish there was more info.... Who is this man she went to visit? She is married right? Family does not know him.... This bugs me, wonder who he is and if they are investigating him thoroughly...

Thank you for well wishes. Spoiling not a problem, restraint may be an issue
I'm finding the husbands behavior a little strange. He doesn't report her missing until 5:00 the following day? Do we know how long they have been married? I did read somewhere that Kelley liked to gamble and it was not unusual for her to stay out late. Is this the reason he was not alarmed, did he think she was out gambling? Going back to the statement that she had $800 in cash with her that night. Did she meet this "friend" at the casino?
Kelley told her daughter in the driveway, she was going to her friend's house. She told the friend, she had an errand to run.
Wondering if she owed someone money, was that the errand?
The reporting in this case has not been very clear, so I may be way off base in all of the above. I still don't know where or what the Detective plans to search?

That's it? Twenty words and a headline, reporter must have been in a hurry to start the weekend.
I feel horrible for Kelley's kids

Sometimes my bank account won't show something until a day later. Ex...my deposits after 2:00 pm never show up until the next day. I've had some debits don't show up till next day...or a check might clear later. Maybe that is what happened.

I just saw a thread in the Unidentified for a body found in New Mexico. They had on a yellow shirt, Nike running shoes and denim shorts. Dark hair in a braid, but it says they thought it might be of Native American descent. I haven't figured out how to link on my new phone. Thoughts???
ETA: Its like 14 hours away so probably not. Just the clothing description is so close. IDK......
What the heck. I do not think it is her, but I called it in to detective. Hope Kelly is found safe!

I apologize if my post was offensive to you.
There are very nice homes in this area also. The school system is great. Nearby elementary has been given many honors/awards.
I have friends who live nearby also. One lives 31st/129th. I would visit them. But I wouldn't visit any of these apts. areas at night. The crime rate in Tulsa has rocketed in all areas!
I really am sorry. Another thing...I am older than you. I'm at that age where I am warning my children about safety just like my mom did me.

No, I wasn't offended at all ...just adding my two cents. Its not my ideal neighborhood, but we picked it for the schools.
I just wonder why there? Someone who lives nearby or could be because it is the first apt complex you'll come to if you exit off the BA at Garnett. I wonder where in the parking lot it was.

This sounds more like there was some sort of activity either financial or phone after the last sighting in the afternoon doesn't it?

She was doing something already that she was hiding - making it more hopeful, IMHO, that's she's alive and well somewhere.
BTW, my bank account occasionally posts purchases a day or two later than I've made them, but the "transaction date" is always accurate. So something may show up later, but it's clear when the purchase was actually made. Anything purchased or calls made in the wee hours of July 4th are the entire crux of this investigation IMHO.

This article is from 4 days ago but I don't see it posted here. They've spoken to a "person of interest" who has been driving her car. She had $860 in cash with her when she disappeared - a very definite amount - not a guess, sounds like.

Police say they have spoken with a person of interest. It’s the person believed to have been driving her car while it was parked at the apartment complex.
|
If someone was driving her car after she went missing the night of July 3rd. Obviously that person has information to offer on how he/she came into possession of Kelley's vehicle. Please don't tell me they are going to say they found the keys in the car and helped themselves.

Didn't some article mention a casino card? It was something to the effect that I thought she probably went to the casinos. I wonder if they checked the video at the casino?

Did Kelley and her husband live together? If so, it seems to have been a casual kind of marriage. I can't imagine my husband not knowing a male friend of mine, whom I might visit spontaneously. And also, not reporting me missing a little sooner. Very strange.
