This is another one of those cases involving college-age young men who disappear after a night in a bar. Several of these men, especially in the midwest, have later been discovered in nearby rivers, and I think there is a serial killer targeting them. I know Chicago has a lot of water around it. Maybe LE should concentrate their search efforts there.

The car has been found in the river with bones inside. Most likely this is Michael.

Heard about this on the news today (Chicago local AM radio - I think 780am).
Tragic.
I'm surprised that it took so long to find his car - assuming, of course, that it is positively ID'd as Michael - is anyone familiar with the location where the car was found submerged?

*The spot on the river near Blackhawk where the car was found is turning out to be something of a Bermuda Triangle. Last year a missing woman and her car were pulled from the river nearby, and in 1992 a cabdriver was killed after he drove over the opposite bank.

I remember the case with the woman in her car being pulled from the river. She has a thread here at WS.
, a model.
The article indicates it could be several weeks before a positive id is made via dna.
Praying for the Jansson family as they await news of this being their missing loved one.

Cook Count coroner still shows these remains as unidentified.

Interestingly the shoes listed for the UID do not match with those reportedly worn by Michael when he went missing. I don't consider that a means to rule out, I just found it odd.
No case file at NamUs for the uid found in December.
Hoping for an ID or rule out soon.
