Santa Maria Teen Missing in Oakland, Could be Heading Towards Central Coast

OAKLAND, Calif. - Oakland Police are searching for a missing teen, 16 year old Shyanne White of Santa Maria. White, who was staying at the Fred Finch Youth Center, a residential treatment center in Oakland is developmentally disabled.

According to the Center, White walked away from the facility Tuesday night. She was being trailed by counselors as she headed towards a BART train station nearby. As she entered the station, the counselors were detained by BART police and were unable to continue to follow her.

SAN FRANCISCO -- A severely autistic 16-year-old girl who had been missing for two days has been found badly beaten in San Francisco, her mother said Thursday.
