Distinguishing Characteristics: Scars on inner right arm near elbow. Scar on right index finger as the result of previous stitches and on both earlobes from multiple piercings. Unknown tattoos on left shoulder and on right hand.

Clothing: Black tank top, blue or black work jeans and black tennis shoes.

Details of Disappearance:
Killen left his residence near US 550 in Flora Vista, New Mexico on November 23, 1997. He was driving his gray 1983 Ford Escort at the time.

The vehicle was discovered abandoned on Navajo 36 near the Chaco River in a dirt water culvert on November 24, 1997, the day after Travis disappeared. Foul play is suspected.

Bumping up again. What happened to this young man? It's sad that it's unlikely to be solved if he disappeared in a rural desert area.

I wonder if they have DNA on file for comparisons and hope his case had the attention it deserved back in 1997.

I grew up in that area. I think Robert Fry knows what happened to Travis. Robert Fry was a very active serial killer.

There is little information about him and as you say, he will never receive justice, so many years have passed...

These cases are just the worst. He was only 18 and his parents have never had answers. I just really feel for them. They know he crossed paths with someone evil but...no justice.
