MAKAWAO, MAUI (Hawaiʻi NewsNow) -
Maui police are searching for a 27-year-old Makawao woman who is pregnant. Police say Carly Joann Scott was last seen Sunday evening (Feb. 9) at her sister's home in Haiku. She was reported missing Monday evening (Feb. 10) when her mother, Kimberly Scott, did not hear from Carly and went to Carly's home in Makawao but could not locate her.

Our nightly news KHNL had an update on Carly's disappearance. Somehow her mother knew that after Carly arrived home Sunday night her estranged boyfriend and the father of her unborn child, called her and said his vehicle was stuck somewhere and he needed help getting out. Apparently she went to help taking along her Pit Bull mix dog. This sounds pretty ominous to me. The sister said she was in good spirits when she was last seen at her sisters home.

A Makawao woman – five months pregnant – is missing. Maui Police report that 27 year-old Carly Joann Scott was last seen Saturday at her sister’s residence in Haiku. A search has been launched this morning along Maui’s north shore. One group left at 9 a.m. Another search is set to launch around 11 a.m. at Nahiku near Hana. That’s where Carly’s dog, Nala was located.

When the woman’s sister could not locate Carly at her home, a missing persons report was filed with the Maui Police Department. MauiWatch has posted an ongoing series of details provided by Carly’s mother. Follow the details here: http://www.facebook.com/MAUIWatch .

Carly is described as five feet, 10 inches tall – about 160 pounds. She has red, shoulder-length hair. Carly Scott drives a 1997 silver Toyota 4Runner with a silver skull on the front grill. License plate number is MDE889. Anyone with any information is asked to contact MPD immediately.

This one is scary ... two lives at stake (mama & unborn baby). She's been missing since Sunday night! Hope she is found with today's searches!!

MAKAWAO, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Maui family is desperate for answers after a 5-month pregnant woman went missing Sunday night -- possibly somewhere along the road to Hana.

Carly's mother says her cell phone is still on and the last place it pinged from was along the Hana Highway near mile marker 20 Keanae.

"These are cliffs. I don't know what to do, but to tie ropes to myself and go over the edge and start looking because its such dense foliage. She could have gone over and it could have swallowed her car back up again," described Scott.

Carly is believed to be with her dog Nala, a pit bull mix.

Family members tell Hawaii News Now they spent the day scouring Hana Highway for Carly, but there were no signs of her.

They're hoping to get a helicopter up first thing Wednesday to assist them and they're organizing a second search party.

Ugh,sounds like what possibly happened to Heather Elvis...

I was away for a few hours this evening and hoped that I would return to Carly being found. I'm so scared for her and her family!!!

According to Maui Police sources, Carly went to Hana to help Steven Capobianco who was apparently stuck in Hana. He reported to police that she was following him back to Haiku but all of a sudden, she was gone.

So she disappears from the ex-bf's rear view mirror and he doesn't wonder where she went? Not what I would hope he would do unless she has friends in the area and he assumed she stopped somewhere. But I would think she would have mentioned that she was going to do that before they drove back. I just hope she's found soon.

BBM It says SC is the father of the unborn child and he is assisting with search efforts but none of the articles seem to indicate that he tried to get help immediately after "she was gone."

Just for the heck of it I tried making a map but I can't seem to figure out how to embed it:

There are pointers where here phone last pinged, where the dog was found, and where she lived. All my best guess.
