ONE of the Victoria’s worst sex predators has gone on the run from a corrections facility in Ararat in the state’s west for the second time in less than a year.

And in developments this afternoon, police confirmed police were not called for nearly 90 minutes after alarms were triggered by his escape.

Sex offender Sean Andrew Carmody-Coyle escaped from the Corella Place facility at 1am this morning on a mountain bike, armed with several knives.

Detective inspector Ian Campbell confirmed this afternoon that Carmody-Coyle was armed with five kitchen knives.
