IL - Bartonville - Human Remains, Aug 2005 - Bonnie Fife, 40

Authorities say it could take days or even weeks to determine the race, sex and age of the victim. An anthropologist has been called in to help with the investigation.

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

The Peoria County Coroner's office yesterday identified the skeletal remains found in Bartonville as those of Bonnie Fife.

The 40-year-old Canton woman was last seen in July 2004 in Peoria -- about eight miles from where her remains were found.
