A police officer turned himself in after two other police officers were found dead in a Maryland townhouse Wednesday afternoon, WBAL-TV in Baltimore reported.
Baltimore County police said a Department of General Services police officer allegedly shot and killed Baltimore City police officers Adam Vasquez, 26, and Leslie Holliday, 34, shortly after noon on Wednesday.
Sources told WBAL-TV Holliday and Vasquez began a romantic relationship about a month ago, after Holliday broke off her engagement with the suspect.
Sources said the shooting comes following a threat that the suspect allegedly made about 10 days ago that he would kill Holliday.
Two Baltimore police officers, a man and a woman, were found shot to death at a home in the suburbs Wednesday, and another law enforcement officer suspected in the killings turned himself in a short time later, authorities said.
Police gave no motive for the slayings.
Toohey said that after the man surrendered at a police station, officers found the gun used in the shooting.
The suspect is a police officer for the state Department of General Services and carried a gun as part of his job, Toohey said. He said he did not know whether the man's duty weapon was the gun used in the killings. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/new...8?OpenDocument
