The former teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old will be back in Kentucky tomorrow. Mexican authorities arrested 26-year-old Angela Comer in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico Tuesday night, and she was brought back to the U.S. by the FBI. Police say Friday at 7:05p.m. she and the fourteen-year-old she took from Tompkinsville will return with a police escort.


When York learned over the weekend that Angela Comer, a former teacher at Monroe County Middle School, had been slipping into her house and into her grandson's bedroom she couldn't believe it.
Even though questions about Comer's relationship first arose in November.

You would think both the family and the school would have been making complaints to LE. If the school had enough to feel they had reason to fire her, then they had reason to make the complaint.
I wonder if the LE contacted the school? From the KSPT it doesn't sound as though they did.

It seems you hear alot of times where a teacher (mainly female) has an affair with an underage child...what would cause a person to be attracted to a child? I think there are some majorly sick people out there...

This whole thing sounds like the custodial grandmother wasn't getting any assistance.

The teacher was only fired AFTER she ran off with the student, even though they've been investigating since November.

The school has been investigating but never advised law enforcement?

The grandmother had to file her own charge against the teacher for interference with custodial authority? ...again, where was law enforcement?

Finally, it must be very easy to take a child out of the U.S. through the Mexican border... now that's scary!
