Found Deceased WI - Edward Kulas, 68, Stevens Point, Oct 2005

At about 9:30 Saturday morning, a nature photographer found a body in a marshy area of Iverson Park near the Plover River. Police are checking to see if it, in fact, is Kulas.

"The tall grass in the area, [the body] was down in with some water, but not totally covered with it. Unless you were standing right there, you would've had a very difficult time searching for the body," says Sgt. Paul Piotrowski, Stevens Point Police Department.

So they aren't sure... but they think its him.


*******Since the article specifically mentions that the family has been asking for the public's help I was surprised that I could find no active news reports.

I did a google search and the police department website was the only one that came up, unfortunately the site is not working at the moment.

No listing at the National Center For Missing Adults. No listing could be found on any other public report/site.

AP) STEVENS POINT, Wis. Stevens Point Police say they've identified the body of a man found near Iverson Park over the weekend.

The man was 68-year-old Edward J. Kulas.

Police say Kulas had been missing for more than three months.
