Woman Accused Of Stabbing Child's Eye With Needle Arrested

HOUSTON -- A woman accused of blinding a child in her care by stabbing the juvenile's eye with a hypodermic needle has been arrested in Houston and faces two felony assault charges.

Chaornice Kabbelliyaa, 32, fled Washington with her three children following the alleged assault last month. Kabbelliyaa is also accused of heating a fork and inserting it into the child's mouth, causing serious burns.

The U.S. Marshals Service said in a statement Sunday that Kabbelliyaa was arrested in Houston on Saturday after Washington authorities found a possible address for her in Texas. The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force located and arrested Kabbelliyaa in northwest Houston.
I wonder if she has been abusing her own kids, glad they caught her.

HOW... WHY... WHAT???? How is it that we need a license to drive a car, to style someone else's hair, to practice medicine... but not to take on the job of parenting. It's the most difficult thing any of us will ever do.... yet we don't have to pass any tests.....

Let her ROT.... That poor baby.

Why do people like this keep having children.Anyone charged with any offense against a child should be sterilized, they don't deserve the joy of having children.

Woman gets 14 years for child abuse; Foster daughter; She stabbed girl's eyes with needles, seared hand on stove.

KENT -- A woman who punished her foster daughter by plunging hypodermic needles hypodermic needle into the girl's eyes and beating her with various objects was sentenced Friday to 14 years in prison. Prosecutors asked for and received a high-end sentence for Chornice Kabbelliyaa, who pleaded guilty in September to one count of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.

The foster girl's brother and another child that had been placed with Kabbelliyaa told investigators that they too were mistreated before being placed in other homes.

Kabbelliyaa's biological children did not show signs of abuse, investigators said.

CPS officials admitted after the arrest that the girl's case had been mismanaged and that caseworkers overlooked some red flags because they were pleased she had been placed in a relative's home.

Much more at link:

Chornice Kabbelliyaa is not in the DOC system, however there is an Order of Commitment, Further dated 03/01/2007, so I assume she is in a mental hospital.

Only 14 years for the pain and tirture that these children endured? That is INSANE!! That b*^%^ was not crazy, she had the good sense not to harm her own children. She should have gotten LWOP.
Happy New Years
