Her body was found in the back of a vacant home, underneath the wooden stairs. Police said the homeowner, who was renovating the building, discovered her body.
"He was here until about 6:30 last night and everything was OK," said Lancaster police Lt. Dan Shupp. "He came back today to continue his remodeling and found a deceased female."
Police said the homeowner did not know Wildermuth, a mother of four. The woman's family said Wildermuth, 52, was suffering from health problems. She had a cast on her leg and neighbors said it would have been difficult for her to crawl.
