Thank you. I am wondering how many people are experiencing post traumatic stress from 9/11 with this plane crash. Crazy how one thing can just bring you right back to a certain feeling. The sounds of sirens are overwhelming.

I think the stock market will tank tomorrow, no matter what the outcome.

On CNN an eyewitness who is a pilot said he saw the plane fly into the building and he got the impression the pilot was doing their best to avoid the accident.

Just heard this is a luxury high rise. I'm assuming that it must be mainly residential. The top eight floors have been cleared with no serious injuries on those floors. Two deaths reported thus far.

There was a stock sell off which now has leveled out. DJ down about 10 points or so.

Regardless of what happened, I like how some things have seemingly been corrected since last time. I am sure that the NYPD and NYFD have new standards and procedures regarding something of this nature, especially evacuation procedures for the buildings. Also the scrambling of the airplanes is a nice precaution...you just never know.
If this was an accident, I guess you can say this was a good practice run to test out the new systems.

They're saying the bottom two floors housed medical facilities. I also read that this is a pet friendly building

Now they've said it came from Teterboro airport, in NJ. There was luggage or something with some kind of tags that said White Plains, NY.

Teterboro? I wonder if it is a private or corporate plane.

RIP Ragdoll. You don't get to choose how you're going to die, or when. You can only decide how you're going to live now.

I heard the same, medical offices on lower levels and then million dollar condos on the upper levels.

Well were the 2 dead in the plane, or in the highrise?
If that's all the deaths, they are lucky I guess. This must have been a plane that got into trouble and was coming down. So scary. They need to draw a big circle around New York City and not let anyone fly through it.

MasterJ, I'm so glad your husband is well and accounted for. I can't imagine the PTSD that must go on with all New Yorkers at times like this and, as you said, at the sound of sirens.

I checked the real estate listings and it does say that pets are welcome. I haven't heard any mention of animals being evacutated.

Up to four people have died after an aircraft*crashed into the side of an apartment*building in Manhattan.
A*fire broke out and several people, including a man and his pregnant wife,*were trapped by the heavy smoke.
Two of the dead are thought to have been on board the small plane that crashed - the pilot and passenger - and two others are believed to have been inside the building.
