Raleigh County Man Missing

Man's car is also gone.

BECKLEY -- Detectives were searching Wednesday for 55-year-old David Wayne Meadows.
Meadows lives in downtown Beckley.
His landlord reported him missing Tuesday after he hadn't seen him in two weeks.
He's 5 feet 8 inches tall, 190 pounds with grey hair and hazel eyes.
Meadows' car is also missing, but police say it doesn't appear he packed for an extended trip.
The car is a 1998, two-door black, Ford Escort. Police are asking friends and family of Meadows to call crimestoppers or Beckley police with information.

Nobody missed this man for two weeks???? And then it was his landlord? And, dang, where's a photo?

Yes, that is very odd, that no one noticed or reported him missing for two weeks. There is probably more to this story than is being let on..

Beckley Police Detective John Abbott said 55-year-old David Wayne Meadows, who was reported missing June 11, was located last Tuesday. Abbott said Meadows’ landlord reported him missing, saying he had not seen his tenant since May. Although Abbott said police actively searched for Meadows, it wasn’t until last Monday that a McAlpin man called police and said Meadows was staying with him. Abbott said police verified Meadows’ identity when he came into the police department the next day.
