Yes, a good practice run and you guys were fantastic! I still say Chris deserves a raise! (Keep all those numbers handy for the next missing driver!)

(Waiting on verification now.)

He was missing Tues-Sun.

Still trying to figure it out, I believe another truck had problems and can't figure out which load they are talking about.

Sending PM's, don't want to post too much personal stuff, hearing stories now.

If I miss a PM, just PM me .

On a tech support forum I post on we have an option under threads to label it solved, wish we had a solved option here. SO that we could still read and post, but in the heading it would say Open or Closed, or Solved or somethin'.

I know a trucker who once( a long time ago) was given the wrong trailer to pick up and haul (there were 2 trailers, shipper made a mistake) Then when he arrived, he dropped trailer and got signed off, but yard guy wrote down wrong truck #. No log of my friend, or his truck or his trailer! So when my friend was on his way back home, he was off duty, so he slept and went a few places and basically had fun for a couple of days. All the while, his company and family were driving highways, making reports, calling hospitals, only to find out, he was fine, and everyone else were the ones that were lost or confused! Strange things happen, I thought he was wrecked or dead, it was the most terrifying thing I ever experienced!

LOL! I am waiting, I heard boss talking to owner saying the exact same thing about 30 minutes ago, he said "I could just let this go, but, come on, what happened, what did he say"....so we'll see what the other side of the phone was saying.

I'll post this evening, my plan is to approach dispatchers while leaving, explaining what 'happened' on our end since Friday, tell them we NEED some details!

Glad they found him and everything is ok!!!

We own a business and we ship very large equipment to different parts of the country. I don't know all the details, because hubby usually deals with the drivers (if they own their own truck), or the dispatcher (if the driver works for someone), but I can tell you we've had a couple disappear on us. One time, we couldn't find a guy for four days, and it turns out, he took a two-state detour to go visit his girlfriend.

Well, this is a problem because the permits are expensive, and I believe the driver has to go a specific route. And on this particular job, we were being fined $10,000 per day that this load was late. It was a mess. My hubby about had a fit over this.

And when asked why he did this...he just shrugged and said he hadn't seen her in a long time. lol Ahhhh...love, isn't it great?

Not to say that this is what's going on with your driver...

We know nothing, absolutely no reason given.. The guy picked up load on Tuesday, disappeared, load was scheduled to deliver on Thursday, on Sunday morning the guy showed up in MA w/load and they accepted it! The guy disappeared again...we are no longer in contact with the other company now that the load has been delivered and everything accounted for.

Have no idea what happened. Crazy isn't it.

Even crazier, on Friday another truck/driver disappeared, this time, showed up in a state he shouldn't have been, 1/3 of load missing and the man threatening suicide, police there, crazy stuff! At first we thought it was this first truck, then we find out it's another load.

I have been w/this company for 5 yrs and this is the first incidents I have ever experienced like this, however, learning it is not uncommon.

No it's not the same trucker. Christine posted his name on page 1. Wayne Book and his truck was black. The pic of the serail killers truck is yellow. This guy's name is Mendenhall or something like that.
